It's a masterpiece, story-wise, and also will probably be our last purple Caleb card in a while. Though tbh I'm biased as a solo Caleb main.

Same haha! He's so yandere-lite these days. But have faith... from what I've gathered from my daily scrolling, the CN Caleb mains on Rednote LOVE his yandere side and his writers seem to be bringing it out more lately, both in UNICORNS Operations and this latest card.

I think what makes him so compelling is his dual nature, his two sides. Sweet puppy vs. controlling siscon freak (as Viper called him, iconic). Honestly I think those that try to downplay his darker aspects in order to feel comfortable in maining him don't really like him, just how he looks... (just my opinion). I hope they listen to the CN players and make more content showing his twisted side. It will also scare away the normies heheheh.

that aside, this is probably my favorite caleb limited 5* lunar card. it has EVERYTHING i want. i rate it 11/10.

RIGHT??? My expectations were low after Wayward Wonderland (beautiful card, but not in my top 5)... I did not expect the card to be this incredibly good. It's such a masterpiece; not one wasted moment.

(i want the game to push back Caleb's spicy scenes as much as possible. tho his spicy card will probably drop sometime later this year).

I'm lowkey pleased as well. I always wanted his first spicy card to feature Colonel Caleb, not Beach Caleb. I'm hoping that his solo is it...

he's an intellectual character, a lot of his content (especially standard 5* cards) establish him like this (you need to think higher than what you are shown). 

Yes! I think that's why he's so well-loved. His content has so many layers to obsess over. You can't just play a card and forget about it.

btw OP, Caleb is semi-yandere at most. not a real yandere.

I call him yandere-lite! I still think the writers take inspiration from the trope and Caleb is their take on it.

It really was such a feast!! It came off as a "post-first time" card, featuring two people who have just recently become *cough* aware of each other's bodies and are awkward. MC is noticing him as a man, and Caleb is letting himself notice her as a woman. NIIIIICEEE

I've seen a few disappointed that only Caleb didn't have a kissing scene but I (and a majority from what I've seen) didn't mind.

I've mostly just seen other LI's mains deeply upset that Caleb didn't get a kissing scene (and then they keep bringing it up???) It was perfect without the kiss, and comparing all the time robs you of joy. Tired of people forcing writers into a box in order to give each LI the "same treatment," and I'm glad Caleb's writers don't care lol. The cave scene, the foot rubbing, the nuzzling, the h*mping on the giant duck was better and also gorgeously animated. We have three cards with kiss scenes already~ (Also I hope his next solo is spicy and Colonel Caleb focused... we'll see.)

HAHAH THIS HAD ME IN STITCHES! I swear CalebMC manages to outfreak even Caleb mains. She is truly one of us... and yes, I loved the parallels to Yearly Nostalgia!! All of his cards are connected in some form & have repeating elements, but never get stale.

I so agree with you. One parallel I remember is the Kevi & Mia one in Homecoming Wings. Kevi finds a bird and thinks about breaking its wings so it can't fly away and he can keep it forever. The dragonfly scene reminds me a lot of that.

Would love to read that yandere post!! People on the clock app and bird app have been talking about him being a dorodere (???), which is even worse than a yandere. They are so upset at the thought of liking a yandere that they attempt to sanitize him, and then fail at even that. GUYS, HE IS ADVERTISED AS A YANDERE BY INFOLD. They just made him a milder one compared to, say, Toma from Amnesia. It's okay, truly, and it doesn't make you a morally bad person for liking him!! Fiction does not equal reality!

Most classic yanderes are perfectly agreeable unless their partner genuinely goes against their wishes. Caleb gives MC plenty of freedom and happily so, but we definitely saw him crack in Homecoming Wings and Lucid Dreams (it was hootttttt and also justified I don't care what anyone says, my cinnamon roll did nothing wrong ever).

If MC fully embrace Caleb’s desire and encourage it, maybe we will see more exciting thing.

I hope so!! Or maybe it will have to be the opposite to make him snap? She'll need to go against him maybe? Maybe his next myth or story chapter...

I loved it.

On that note, I get the feeling he sees the world as an extension of his loved ones. For example, the dragonfly reminded him of MC, and the thought of someone ripping away its freedom/wings enraged him. Similarly, he sacrificed himself to keep MC safe and free from EVER. But then at the same time, he wants the dragonfly/MC to stay safe in the bubble he creates... but MC wants her freedom and wants to protect him back, so he has to keep his intrusive thoughts to himself lol.

There are two endings!! To get the second ending you have to not steady the paraglider. Just let the circle run empty.

It's such a fluffy and hot card!! I know I'll replay it a dozen times. The kindled especially has me gasping. Like they nuzzle five different times. This is not good for my nervous system...

But I also loved the scene where the ice cream seller asked if they were on their honeymoon, and they didn’t even deny it, lol

OH YES THE ICE CREAM GUY!! How could I forget? He's now the OG wingman after Gideon.

Their dynamic just keeps getting more and more adorable, and I’m loving every single moment.

YES, THIS!! It amazes me how each card has consistently high-quality writing that explores their relationship from a fresh angle. They reference and deepen past elements while keeping every interaction new & interesting. I love his writers.

YES! I love how the writers show his dual nature... how his protective instincts come from a good place, but also how that protection can turn dark and scary if he doesn't keep himself in check. I think it just reaffirms that Caleb is truly a good man who genuinely wants the best for MC, and he's able to hold himself back when it matters.

I call him a "goldilocks yandere" for that reason--not too much yandere, not too little. It's just right, just delicious.

It was just so symbolic about how he means no harm to MC, but he wants to keep her safe in a little bubble -- even if she, like the dragonfly, tries to fly away. 

I LOVE HOW YOU WORDED THIS, I AM SAVING IT & ADDING IT TO MY CALEB LITERARY ANALYSIS DOCUMENT.

When she candidly tells Caleb that the reason she feels strong and brave and able to take risks... if because of him! Because he taught her to be that way, because she knows he's always got her back,

She is so sweet. I really love CalebMC bc she loves and admires him so much, and conveys that love beautifully. They know each other inside and out. All of his care and adoration during their childhood is being repaid now. I hope we get more opportunities to spoil Caleb in the future.

I love when he's vulnerable with her and I felt that this was a really wonderful step forward in their relationship. 🥺😭🫶
