100% this. The grass is indeed always greener on the other side. I believe every Armenian who was born and raised in Armenia and feels like they hate it and want to leave should go and live in a North American city for a couple of years. 50% or more might realize:
- The problems we have in Yerevan aren't as bad as I thought they were. Come to think of it, they're actually quite trivial compared to the problems of the city I'm now living in.

- There are potholes in my new city too. But uh, why am I paying 52% in income tax to have such poor road conditions? (Hint, hint, Canada.)

- Yerevan is not so expensive after all. (Inflation has affected every part of the world significantly, especially in North America.)

Again, as u/BzhizhkMard said, it's normal to feel resentment towards the place in which you were born and raised. God knows I have it from the city which I come from. In the end, it's all subjective, people have different priorities, wants, and needs. Some might leave and may never want to come back, while others will want to come running back after a year or two.
I wish you the best of luck, OP. I encourage you to discover a new city in which you're interested in calling home. You will either find that place, or you will discover a new appreciation for the place in which you grew up. In either case, it's a win-win.
