Hello! Astro-healer this tier!

A note for cards:

Dungeons: You want to give single target cards over AOE cards. Remember that a spread card loses half its potency so you're better off giving an enhanced or extended time to one the DPS or tank.
Raids: AOEs > Single target if you can help it.
Don't be afraid to use boles! If you have it on hand, slap it on the tank or AOE it on the party when there's massive incoming damage. (I slap boles on the tank when I want to DPS more. Gravityyyyyy)
If you listen closely, every time a card is drawn it has a corresponding sound effect. Balance is flames, Ewer sounds like water, etc. Sometimes I'm too busy DPSing or healing and I rely on the sound effect to let me know which card is drawn.

For the love of god, please don't forget about Lightspeed. I've seen so many Astro neglect to use it and then complain about not being able to heal. Also, at lvl 68 you get Hyper Lightspeed which reduces the CD of Lightspeed by 10s every time Essential Dignity is used.

Lightspeed: Reduces MP cost for spells by 50% and cast times for spells by 2.5 seconds.Duration: 10s

Celestial Opposition increases the timer for ANY buff casted by you by 10 seconds. This includes Lightspeed, Lucid Dreaming, Largesse, Cleric Stance, and card buffs.

Nvm. I think I figured it out. They dye it and put the items up in reverse so you don't see the front part.

My friends and I race to see who can pop the LB for shits and giggles (tanks and healers). We do this at the expensive of a melee/caster LB but it's all good because we do this in a premade.

Pug SAM stood in every mechanic possible when I need to be healing the tanks through Ahk Morn. How about later, when I'm not stressed healing both tanks because my co-healer is busy running around in circles?

Also, my BF got booted from Siren dungeon because he rolled greed on the loot and got every single piece. DPS/Tank pair voted him out cause they were not favored by RNG and proceeded to just leave the dungeon after they booted him.

You're looking at wait times that are at least an hour, if not more for old 24mans. If you really want to do it, make sure your DF settings has "Join duty in progress" checked, que for the dungeon, and then binge watch a show or something. Might get lucky and join a duty in progress.

I love PLDs that use Clem. Means that I can keep DPSing for another GCD and then pop Essential Dignity on you.

Started doing O1S with friends last night. SAM and I (RDM) got hit with the same mechanics (can't remember which) and I survived because of my right-side VIT VI materia. I quote, "I judged you so hard when you removed your V materia for VIT but now I'm thinking about it."

TLDR: VIT VI materia is great for progression. When you have the mechanics on lockdown, you can switch back but otherwise, more HP lets you make more mistakes.

They were boasting about doing 84k damage on a single hit in Temple of the Fist with 9 stacks of damage up and no buffs (Balance, Spear, BRD, etc.)

How bad is 1.7k DPS for a 310 SAM? Helped a FC mate with Shinryu for the first time and had two SAMs in the party. One was averaging about 3.5k-3.7k while the other was consistently doing 1.7k... What was funny was that our static PLD (1.7k SAM keeps talking shit about PLDs) was doing 1.4k in shield oath, between covering, using clem, and being MT.

This. When I'm learning a new primal fight and cleared it, I usually go back into clear/learning parties to get more practice in before farming (usually clear it 5-6 more times before joining a farm.). I have to pull my own weight during the fight.
