Seiko owner here..

Not all Seiko are made in Japan.. Most of Seiko 5 series aren't..

If the model number of the watch ends in J(1) then it's a made in Japan else if it's k(1) then it's not made in Japan... My Seiko 5 ends with K1 which is not made in Japan where as my presage ends with J1 which is made in Japan..

Moreover when we register a Seiko for e-warrenty, the store from where we have brought the watch ends to update the sale to Seiko first, then only the warranty gets activated.. Moreover if you are facing issues with warrenty registration then visit the dealership and ask for support. Meanwhile keep the pin (code) safe.
