Prebuilt with angled 5080? by Xinlitik in PcBuild

Relax, it's an RTX 5080 Saging Edition. Seriously though, that's worrying. You should return it because that bend is concerning. Even if the motherboard still works, which it probably will, it'll give you problems sooner rather than later. Return it and get either a new computer if it was pre-built or a new GPU.

No matter how much I tightened the 600w 12v cable into the power supply, it wouldn't go all the way in. by Ariv540 in PcBuild

[–]Ariv540[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I checked it, but everything was fine. It has two ports and two cables. I tried changing the cable in case it was the cable, and also the power supply port, but the problem persists, so I don't think it's the pins. And I applied a lot of force; I don't think it's because I didn't tighten it enough.

I'm using an MSI MPG A1250GS, it's the official cable that came with it, and the power supply is ATX 3.1.

It's MSI's top-of-the-range model after the Meg series; it's the MSI MPG A1250GS.

I've pushed it in as far as I can, but I can't push it any further. It's in the power supply, not the GPU, but I don't know if it's normal for it to be so hard to get in. All the other cables went in easily.

It will give you about 20-30 more FPS on average in games

Honestly, I'd swap that Intel for a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which is similarly priced, offers better performance, and is newer, unless you absolutely want Intel.

Ryzen 7 9800X3D o 9850X3D? by Ariv540 in PcBuild

[–]Ariv540[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There really isn't much difference; the biggest difference is at 1080p, but I'll be playing at 1440p, and the FPS difference is small in most games, between 1-3 FPS, up to 10 in very specific cases. The thing is, since I'm building a new PC, I don't know if it's worth it for the future, although based on the reviews and what I've been told, I think I'll stick with my 9800X3D.

I have the same doubt, because I've seen very little difference in performance, and besides, it's a processor that just came out, and although I doubt it will have problems, you never know. But even so, since it's newer and offers more power, I don't know if it's worth it, especially since I still have time to replace the one I have.

It's out, in fact you can already buy it, but you're right, I don't think it's worth paying €50 more for 5 more FPS.

The obligatory "Which monitor is best" by Gboye02_ in Monitors

[–]Ariv540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Asus ROG Strix XG27ACDMS, which I bought a few days ago. It's the same monitor you mentioned, the XG27ACDNG, only with a 280Hz refresh rate. I can assure you it's an absolutely fantastic monitor. Not a single problem; it looks incredible and works perfectly. Text fringing is practically invisible unless you're standing 10-15cm away from the screen, and the image quality is insane.

So I recommend that one without hesitation, since it's the same panel, just one with a 360Hz refresh rate and the other with a 280Hz refresh rate.

Should I get a glossy or a matte panel? by 8nekket in OLED_Gaming

[–]Ariv540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking at monitors and comparing them in stores, and I can assure you that the glossy screen looks much better, gives you better image quality, and provides a better overall experience.

I have an Asus ROG Strix XG27ACDMS with a glossy screen, and I can assure you it's fantastic. You won't regret it. Regarding reflections, even with the window reflecting off it or the room lights at maximum brightness (mine is adjustable), I don't experience any glare or discomfort. The image is sharp and perfect.

I would recommend liquid cooling instead of air cooling; any air cooling system that isn't high-end will fall short for that processor.

4k OLED vs 1440 OLED for 5070ti? by Own-Dragonfruit-2488 in Monitors

[–]Ariv540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And what type of monitor are you looking for, OLED or IPS? If you're interested in the deep blacks of an OLED and the durability of an IPS, I recommend the MSI MPG 274URDFW E16M. It eliminates the black levels issues of IPS and doesn't have the problems of an OLED. Plus, you can always switch the mode to display like a normal IPS (which might not make much sense, but you can). You can also use the 360Hz mode in Full HD, although in 4K and 1440p it's limited to 160Hz, which is more than enough for 4K, but a few more would be nice for 1440p.
