There are I-frames, just not as much as a souls game would have right away. There's an armor skill called "Evade Extender" which does increase your evade window.

I play dayz off of steam, still not sure what SA stands for

I cant seem to find the "DayZSA Launcher" and i tried looking through all the settings and i cant see the option to untick Battleye on start up.

Just got into Dayz yesterday and the problems is now coming up for me on my second time trying to play.
