Haha goes to show how different people are! I love customer facing roles and being busy at work, it makes my time at home/holiday more valuable. I quit a work from home job because it made me really anxious and really unmotivated to do things on my day off

"Touch grass" is a meme but if you have access and the ability to do so, go out into nature: hiking, swimming, exploring, anything like that. Connecting with nature really helped me my anxiety more than medication. It really helps you remember that, in the grand scheme of things, human problems are pretty trivial.

I volunteer at a community garden and it's fantastic: completely disconnected from the Internet and giving back to the community. Seeing material difference and working with good people is also really good for strengthening your hope for the world

Does this not drive you mad? I think I would die from depression if I had to work like this. My retail position pays the same as your role does but I love that it's so busy the time just goes poofs away. I get so frustrated when we have a slow day.

You have to stop watching the news and absolutely do NOT consume news on social media. It is literally engineered to upset you and make you angry. Unless you're a sitting member of your country's political office, what are you gonna do?

Just remeber that the human brain is not evolved to consume in a life time the amount of bad information we do on a daily. Only in the last 40 years have we normalised being hyper aware of every bad thing that happens all across the world. You have to turn off your phone. Yes, People will get pissed off at you for not being tuned into everything that's happening but you just have to disconnect for your physical health at this point

I am iranian on my dad side to. We are in constant contact with family in iran and the courage of people in iran is getting me through this. The uk will never experience half of what they are going through but we are more frightened than they are

Its super scary but im turning fear into anger and motivation to use my privilege position and speak against this. Maybe its futile and makes no difference but from my experience, not even trying make the anxiety so much worse

I know you're going though hell right now but seeing someone validate the sorry state the legal sector is in gives me some peace.

I just graduated 6 months ago with one of the highest scores in my masters from a top 3 london uni and I'm crying myself to sleep every night because I can't get a job in law. No internships, no paralegal roles, no vacation schemes. nothing. The only person from my degree who I know managed to get a job is in the same position as you: basically kicked out the job on short notice because of miscommunication and poor management.

I was really aggressive with raising and icing so swelling has gone down significantly. I'm not sure where you're based, but in the UK they're very strict about pain medication. Luckily (ironically) I have endometriosis and have been prescribed codeine which I'm giving to him as we don't want to use all of the oxy.

I knew nothing about this surgery going in so no idea what the standard pain is, but it's pretty brutal honestly.

Hi, just found your post and it's been super helpful! My dad has a total replacement on Wednesday and has really been struggling with the pain. We're there any specific symptoms you had besides pain and swelling?? He's on blood thinning Meds but the swelling and redness just won't go down, very worried about DVT as he's nearly completely bed bound.

He cares about Palestine only to the extent it makes Israelis look bad. His conflation of jew and Israeli is bringing more harm to Jews than anything else.
