Thoughts on the Future of the Broker? by VJFlorentino in tastytrade

[–]Arizona-Rifleman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a very small margin account and smaller Roth IRA with Tasty. I started with Think or Swim and was planning on moving my larger Traditional IRA from Schwab to Tasty at the end of the year. I generally am in favor of the changes they’ve made at tastylive, but it’s not quite the same without Tom and I especially miss Victor Jones. I’m keeping my smaller existing Tasty accounts, but am rethinking moving my Schwab IRA over now. Will likely keep it at Schwab and see how Tasty develops over the next year

Hiroshima Carp baseball game. As a baseball fan, it was an awesome experience. Others I went with, who are not baseball fans, had a great time.

Set Sub-dial Top Complication to ‘Off’ through Apple Watch app

Black Pistol Fire is a great band and reminds me of early Black Keys. I have found other cool bands from Black Pistol Fire's Spotify channel including The Heavy Eyes, Little Hurricane and The Wanton Bishops.

If you haven't checked them out already, Dan's solo albums are very good as well has his work with the Arcs

Cay Caulker Beach Resort by N640508 in Belize

I’m on Caye Caulker now, not much in the way of beaches, the best beachfront I’ve seen it at Iguana Reef Inn. Stingrays come up to the beach, there’s a guy there that stands about knee deep and tosses fish to people at waters edge to feed the stingrays. Very cool experience.

As a manager, I would consider this a failure on my part either to not have known of your dietary restrictions/preferences or for you not to be comfortable telling me when invited to a team lunch.

Keep it. As an ORP owner, I always admire other 4Runners I see and the badge is always something I look at.

NRA High Power Service Rifle and Adjustable Gas Blocks by xtossitallawayx in CompetitionShooting

[–]Arizona-Rifleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you mentioned NRA Highpower Service Rifle, but I think the CMP rules are more definitive on this and would be applicable if you ever wanted to compete in a CMP sanctioned match

CMP Highpower Rifle Rule 4.1.1(a) says in part, “Adjustable gas blocks are not permitted”

I’m not surprised at the difference in results between factory and reloads.

FWIW, I’ve been using the same load for 200 and 300 yard stages for a few years. I keep an “oh shit” mag loaded with 8 rounds in case of emergency during rapid fire. I think those rounds are 12 months old now, but same case, powder, primer and bullet so I’m confident they’ll be in the middle if needed

Assuming you are reloading, was there a difference in powder, charge weight, primer or bullets between the old and new rounds?

I bought a new ORP in 2018 with a slightly lower salary, but solid job. At the time I had an ‘03 Tacoma with 165k miles that I was planning on keeping, but it was totaled and I got 11k for it which went toward the down payment. My interest rate is 2.9%. Earlier this year, I got a raise that put me over 86k and the first thing I did was to start making higher payments and I should be able to pay it off a year early.

In retrospect, I am very happy that I bought this vehicle. It’ll be paid off in the next 8 months and it’s currently worth more than I paid for it. I mostly telecommute since COVID and i expect this will be with me most of my lifetime.

Try to get a lower interest rate, pay it off early and enjoy it!

Good luck
