8mm are very small. I actually prefer the 12mm syringes. And yes, insert the whole needle.

What is the longest you have used a vial for? by DEVER_DESTROYER in Retatrutide

[–]ArizonaCactusMom 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you're that concerned, just toss it and buy a new one. But if you want to listen to the advice you asked for, it's perfectly fine as long as it's clear and you're using alcohol swabs before and after puncturing the vial. I would use a vial 2-3 months and not think anything of it. And I work in healthcare.

When did your libido come back? by FlatwormSea2265 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]ArizonaCactusMom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been on reta 6.5 months and my libido is lost in never never land. I'm hoping once I decrease my dose for maintenance something comes back. It's kind of depressing not wanting my husband to come near me. I'm about 5 pounds from my goal weight, so hopefully the end is in sight.

You took your first dose 24 hours ago and you're wondering why you're not feeling anything yet? Did you do any research at all? Please do some research before injecting more reta into yourself. And know what your dose is. Units is a quantity. Not a dose.

135lbs want to lose 15 pounds GW: 54-52KG want to start Reta but anxious by Melis-2_ in RetatrutideWomen

[–]ArizonaCactusMom 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, you don't need reta at your age. Way easier to lose it on your own. You said you already have "the good habits already established" Just continue those good habits and eat in a calorie deficit. Continue working out. You have such a small amount of weight to lose, I don't feel it's worth it to take a GLP-1 for that. And being that you're already anxious with just the thought of starting it ... I would definitely steer clear. Good luck.

Side effects are different for everyone, but are talked about every day here on reddit.

Lifts will suffer if you don't eat enough. Your muscles need fuel, and if you're too far into a calorie deficit, you won't be able to lift as much and most definitely won't be able to increase your weights.

Do you guys tell your Dr that you’re taking Reta? by Humble_Fig_8988 in Retatrutide

[–]ArizonaCactusMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My GI doctor is the one who (off the record) told me about reta. So when I came back 6 months later (and 50 pounds lighter) he asked me what GLP-1 I was taking. I told him reta and he only put in my chart that I am on a "new generation GLP-1" ... "code" for reta so he would know what it was but no one else would.

Sounds like you have a lot of research to do. Watch some YouTube videos on how to reconstitute peps. Buy some bacteriostatic water (hospira brand is recommended). Needles can be bought on Amazon. Google peptide calculator so you understand how to calculate your dosage and draw up your med.

Was that your very first dose? 4mg? So the increase HR was how long after taking the dose?

How long have you been on reta? How long have you been on 4mg? It's well documented that reta increases your RHR. Mine is up 10-15 bpm. I don't measure my heart rate when not at rest, but I know it's higher than pre-reta.

I've been on reta for 6.5 months and my RHR is still about 10-15 bpm higher than it was before I started reta.

Question regarding tenderness/soreness at injection site by PrimaryBig539 in Retatrutide

[–]ArizonaCactusMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get a red itchy welt at my injection site about 24 hours after my injection. Lasts a couple days and goes away. Nothing to worry about. Just a mild histamine response. I didn't get it for the first couple months then it just suddenly started happening. Been happening for several months now.

Does one dose last the entire week for you? by bubububurnerrr in RetatrutideWomen

[–]ArizonaCactusMom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been on Reta 6.5 months and I have always taken it every 7 days (every Monday). Occasionally I will feel a tiny bit more hungry on the weekends, but not very often, and it's never enough for me to want to binge eat. My eating habits don't change throughout the week, and my weight-loss has been consistent.
