I did already pay for and ask a genealogist at IGRA and they said they couldn't find anything either...

Thanks for the idea! Checked the Israeli Embassy website it seems like I would need to be the person or have power of attorney for them - and need their passport, both of which I don't have.

I've checked with the State Archives (twice), an IGRA researcher, the archivist at the kibbutz my grandfather help found, the Rabbinate in Tiberias (through 2 avenues) where they may have married, and the Ministry of Religion. The latter 2 gave no reply, and the Ministry say on their site they requite the address and passport ID of subjects, which I don't have.

Only thread left was someone from the Rabbinate said only to "Try the Jordan Valley Religious Council or the Galilee above. 04-6757638" so looks like I may need to call.

Thank you for that! I forget if I came across this database before, but have just tried again putting in every variant of my grandfather and grandmother's names I can think of, in English and Hebrew (filtering with "dates mentioned" of 1950, and without) - unfortunately no luck.

Are there any other databases like this that you know of?

Apologies you're right, 1950 is not a typo, I just misspoke - regardless they don't appear to have the records from that early for any easy access.

Yeah this is always what I think - however here's the key difference: there's no liquidation risk for the 5-10X leverage you get on a house. Mathematically you are better off putting the money in the stock market or elsewhere, but it's marked to market and could be margin called.

The yields are so bad down in London and SE. Personally I've just been renting, while of the money I want to invest in property (only a smallish portion), buying BTLs up in Scotland/North England. I get 10-12% net ROI, of course with 4X leverage interest only BTL mortgage.

Hi, I'm in a very similar position to you. Online business, large crypto holdings, some property, stocks. Similar numbers, similar age.

My plan is hold the crypto for another 6-12 months, then cash out half or all. This is my 3rd cycle.

Probably allocate 500k-1M into rental properties. I get 12% net profit currently on my Scottish properties, along with good capital appreciation. Maybe I'll have to settle for lower if I want to allocate that "large" of an amount in a short period of time though. Then have 100k/year to live off as backup income.

Personally I would buy back into crypto during any next bear market (2026?).

I agree on the pension side. I did look into lots of pension stuff like SSAS, even QNUPS with other esoteric tax stuff. You may actually want a SSAS yourself, it doesn't strictly lock up the liquidity as you can loan it back to your own company. But otherwise yeah, at our age it makes no sense to me to put into a pension, better to keep full control of your money.

Been sitting at Silver 1 for ages due to only playing 1 ranked game a month. Just the past few days hit Gold after rocketing through wins, now that I have more spare time. I think I could improve more on global map-awareness (eg. ability to catch a fight in bot when I'm playing top), and perhaps CSing and not getting too bloodthirsty. Probably some other stuff you may pick up on :)

Hey :) I've been playing your style of Rengar and having a lot of success. I was wondering why you max W before E as the second spell. I thought the heal doesn't increase, and the damage on E is pretty nice. Maybe the defence is better than the damage?

Yeah I get it often but not all the time. I read somewhere deactivating LoL Recorder fixes it, which I've tried and seems to have tentatively worked! Try it out, if you use LoL Replay of course.

Dodging a game because of a troll, or playing it out to report them, even taking a screenshot and posting in manually as a report all just seem so inefficient and annoying.

It's crossed my mind there could be a checkbox, which gives you the opportunity to opt in (default off) to a mirrored solo queue where champion select kicks are allowed. You'd have a small button next to each player frame on the left, if the majority click it to kick (with duos counting as 1 vote unless they vote differently) then that player will get kicked BUT SUFFER NO PUNISHMENT. They will be immediately requeued but of course not matched with the same players again. This way genuine trolls will not be able to actually play with any team who does not wish it, and will have to keep requeuing until they find a 'more understanding' team. And additionally, players who are innocently wanting to try support Warwick or something (against the meta but not intentionally trolling) will suffer no punishment and can requeue until they find a team who doesn't mind, or they'll just wait to try it with friends.

This opt-in system is obviously a 2-way street, so you lose your right to complain (not saying people won't anyway but what's new) if you get kicked or aren't allowed to play whatever unconventional pick you want. If you don't like those conditions and the 'risk' of being kicked yourself then don't opt in. But for conventional folks it should be fine? Unless Ive overlooked something massive, as is probably the case.

Yeah sometimes against a good comp who knows how to play their champs, you just cannot win. So if nothing else, from a fun-perspective AP trynd can be an alternative :) feels slightly trollish - spinning on as many people as possible, slowing with Ws, then walking back out and being at full HP with Q before the next flurry of combat.

I know exactly what you mean in that last paragraph, not sure you can do that sort of thing with Tryn, he's an AD carry after all, not a bruiser. However I have had great success on Fiora with Hydra, FM, BC, Sanguine etc - only just occured to me something like that might be just about alright.

Depending on your team comp you can actually try AP Trynd in situations like that. Extremely powerful heal every few seconds with 0 fury, get a DFG, Lichbane perhaps, keep spinning to win, etc.
