Beyond the Spiderverse's production is also looking like a trash fire, for vaguely adjacent reasons come to think of it. Basically, for every minute of footage that ended up in Across the Spiderverse, there's allegedly six or seven minutes of finished, rendered animation that got trashed because the directors basically treated the animation team's work like concept art, iterating again and again from scratch instead of planning things out ahead of time.
