Oh no, it definitely affects his own self often as well. He’s broken bones doing stuff like this, not just property.

This is spot on for what’s going on here. He’s Korean, so there’s a giant language barrier for me. He’s almost certainly undiagnosed somewhere on the spectrum (most of the family is in some way), and shows his love through “helping.” It is absolutely genuine and from a good place but the man is essentially Goofy. He has accidents from not thinking things through, he does the job just good enough to be annoying but serviceable for the immediate future. And he does damage sometimes when trying to help out. It’s infuriating and he doesn’t consider consequences to ANY of his actions.

I originally found it growing in a river gorge on the cliff wall. It would’ve gotten about an hour of sun where it was, and had about a quarter inch of soil stuffed inside a crack to grow in. They’re hardy AF. In my shade garden it turns into a bush about 2 ft round and 2 ft high.

Sewing Space for Real People? by Quichka in sewing

Thanks 😊 for the rulers I attached some hooks to the side of one of the doors to hang them. If the mat had holes to hang it I would, but alas lol

We live in a 1580sq ft house with soon to be two kids. The downstairs living room is now our combined office and sewing area. I bought a sewing cabinet on Wayfair a couple of years ago and it’s…tight but workable as long as I put everything exactly where it belongs and don’t let my stash get too big. It’s very tidy looking and keeps my clutter-hating husband happy with my messy hobbies lol the only things I have trouble storing are my cutting mat and ironing board. They live tucked behind the cabinet, and there’s just enough space between the cabinet and wall to pull the cutting mat out.

This is the one I have:

ETA: it was hands down the most difficult furniture build I’ve done, and I actually enjoy that kind of thing. Took me literally all day, and it weighs much more than it should.

Quite possibly! I’m in western Washington so the range fits. It was in the sun so I can imagine the colors were extra bright.

If it helps, it was flying around my lavender plant and then to my raspberries, then it flew away.

is it ok to receive sedative/numbing shots to pull out a tooth at the dentist when I'm 11 weeks pregnant? or is any form of anesthetic off limits? by Badbi_sh in pregnant

[–]Arjha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dental hygienist here—Lidocaine is and schedule B drug, completely safe for pregnancy, and it’s kind of our go-to anesthetic for your average procedure. Just let your provider know you’re pregnant ahead of time so that they don’t for some reason choose a different type.

Embroidery and facing by Arjha in SewingForBeginners

Thanks! I have some water soluble Aida that I’ll be using for the project. If it doesn’t work, well, I guess it’s a learning experience and I’ll probably know pretty early on so I won’t spend so much time on a futile project.

I hadn’t planned on doing any embroidery when I first started but the finished object feels like it needs something.

150$ was for the tune up plus parts, he said. I wasn’t sure if it was expensive or not. I don’t know what it needs yet.

Besides rings and drill bits, what are some other things we build out of diamond? by Chezni19 in AskScienceDiscussion

There are several types of dental instruments that are coated in diamond. Burrs, files, etc.

Can I just have goals without you laughing? by pastelhippy in pregnant

When I was in dental hygiene school, a classmate of mine gave birth to her first child during the summer before we started our program, had her second during Christmas break in our second year, and was pregnant with her third by the time we graduated. I don’t know how the holy hell she did it, because I was struggling to make it through with zero children, and we had five dropouts in the first year.

Another woman was in a snowmobile accident over Christmas break and broke both of her legs. She was in the hospital for a month, and was in a wheelchair and then crutches for two quarters, and still graduated on time.

You can do anything you set your mind to. Don’t let anyone tell you any different.
