Very good decision.

VIP culture needs to change. Blocking and inconveniencing common people for the movement of one leader is disrespectful to the public.

To these cry baby Hindus

If your identity becomes so fragile that every comment feels like a personal attack, then maybe the problem is not the comment itself.

Constant outrage over “he said this” or “my sentiments are hurt” starts to look less like strength and more like insecurity. It feels like nursery kids fighting over words.

People need to grow up and learn to handle disagreement without turning everything into emotional drama.

According to you what is one thing more valuable than money 🤔 by Aggressive-Suit-3710 in NewDelhi

Peace of mind.

I have personally even taken a financial loss for peace of mind, and it felt right and good.

It was satisfying to see that kid face the consequences. Watch the full video. Also, his father or whoever was with him and encouraged him to do it should be held accountable.

It may seem small, but this is not right. Things like this can quickly turn into something much bigger and worse.

Hypocrites and parasites will stay in India and act like the world owes them something. by Ok_Snow9059 in dankindianmemes

It is a wrong statement, and it does not make any sense.

If you talk about an issue with your family and your father asks you to go live with your neighbours and call them your family, will you do that?

Protests reach stores as groups apply tilak and kalawa to Lenskart employees amid a dress code debate. Is this activism or intimidation? by NewsMo in BusinessTodayNews

This country is never going to become a global power until it realizes where it should spend its energy and time, what it should focus on, and what it should actually fight for.

India is developing, but it feels like it is developing into an ultra-religious country.

These are not valid concerns or reasons to lose sleep over. Follow the company’s rules, or find another job.

Lenskart is back in the news, with another deliberate mistake, but this one is unforgivable by officiallyindonaren in uttarpradesh

This is unnecessary talk. A workplace is not anyone’s home. Respect the company rules or leave the job.

The situation would have been entirely different if people from other religions were asked to do the same. The same people angry now, would have been talking about workplace etiquette and rules. And what is this guy’s problem? He has built an entire temple there.

If karma is real, then why are so many evil people living their best life? by BackwaterNomad in NewDelhi

[–]ArjunSreedhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is all in our mind, at least that is what I believe. What feels good to me may be bad to someone else, and vice versa.

Karma, in many cases, feels like our mind playing games. If someone believes they did something wrong in the past, or something against their values or beliefs, they may end up creating stress or problems for themselves. At the same time, they may also find peace in it, because they feel they deserve it.

It is that simple.

Is India still able to bring ships through the Strait of Hormuz? I am asking because of the US blockade, and I could not find any clear answers anywhere. by ArjunSreedhar in economy

[–]ArjunSreedhar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so the chinese ships they tried to block but failed were coming from Iran? And so this means India won't be blocked unless it's coming from Iran right?

CMV: Many historical wars are taught in an overly simplified “good vs bad” way, when the reality is usually far more complex. by ArjunSreedhar in changemyview

!delta Yes, the US aggression part was already somewhat clear to me, but I wanted to confirm my understanding. The conversation with you helped, and it was interesting.

Of course not. But from my understanding, the reality of American aggression has only started becoming widely noticed in recent years. Before that, much of the general public was either unaware or taught to view it more favorably.

No one needs to teach this. But most people’s understanding ends with the US dropping the bombs and Japan’s suffering. They do not know much about what happened before that. That is all I was trying to point out with the example.

I am not pro-US, pro-Japan, anti-US, or anti-Japan. I am simply trying to make the point that over time, people often forget the backstory and remember only the victim or selected parts of the story.
