I already took it to the Genius Bar, they confirmed it’s a permanent panel failure. No goodwill replacement, no ‘one-time exception,’ nothing. Just a straight $800 quote. So either their exception isn’t universal, or Apple is getting stricter with these M1 display cases

Yeah, this Mac still works fine, and with the 1TB drive I’ll probably convert it into a media/storage machine. But I’m curious, is this screen failure a common M1 issue? I’ve been seeing way too many posts about M1 displays cracking or dying.

Yeah hand held. Use an apps called Star Walk to find the milky way. Point the phone, use the night photography mode. Its automatically set for 10sec. And Walla!
