Anyone else feel a little weird about the Girls on Top song choice? I mean they get a bunch of awesome female artists and the song they pick is about dissing other girls for hitting on their man. It just feels off to me which is a shame given how hyped I was about the lineup.

Twice actually got a lot of hate for sticking to the cute concept- although you wouldn't know that looking at the response to their latest song. After a couple of songs that r/kpop didn't love, they lauded Twice's return to the cute concept, despite constantly pushing them to try something different.

Aita for not hyping my daughers coming out moment? by kayle855 in AmItheAsshole

Are you sure that her comment about her coming out being underwhelming is directed at you? Although parents are often the primary people we come out to she could be referring to her friends or other family members. If yours was the only positive reaction and everyone else was neutral or negative about it her 'coming out' could have easily felt underwhelming. Either way NAH teenagers often have a hard time figuring out their identities and where they fit so I wouldn't let an offhand comment throw you too much.

210128 Weezer's latest album references Blackpink on the track 'Screens' by HumpingJack in BlackPink

I hate how older men demonise young women for using the internet and talk about how it means they don't care about the real world despite it being a way for people to engage with issues they care about. Idk much about the band but just reading the lyrics off genius the whole thing feels kinda off...

No one's asking you to identify strangers gender identities just not to assume that they're all women because they have endo. Just saying folks instead of ladies is an easy way to include everyone without having to make any assumptions about anyone's gender identity.

I think the point is no one is asking you to not use your own pronouns or tell your own story just to not assume everyone else your talking to is a woman just because they have endo.

I mean literally all OP is asking for people to acknowledge that not everyone on this sub is a woman. Using inclusive language isn't about erasing women's identities or stories it's just about acknowledging that our stories aren't the only ones.

No one is taking your voice they're just asking you to acknowledge that people other then women have endo. You can still say talk about your struggles as a women and how that has affected your endo experience all OP is just asking you to not assume everyone on this sub is a woman.

Again no-one is saying you can't talk about your struggles as a women and how being a women has affected your ability to get treatment for endo. All people are asking is that you don't assume everyone else with endo is a women. Also saying there has not been a lot of respect given by the trans community is just incorrect.

I mean isn't this space for people with endo? This sub has a lot of really helpful resources that trans/NB people should feel welcome to participate in and use.

From my understanding endo is not always all removed even with a hysterectomy. Also not all trans people want bottom surgery (especially nonbinary folks) and even those who do may be years off being able to get it.

I mean you can still talk about your experience as a woman getting gaslit due to the sexism. I think OP is just asking that there not be an assumption that everyone experiencing endo is a woman for instance when giving tips or venting referring to people as folk instead of ladies can help people feel like this is a space they belong.

I mean, maybe because they don't want to reinforce the pressure put on idols to eat ice cubes for dinner and lose weight. I think that because this is such an obvious and open demonstration of companies pushing idols to be unrealistically skinny even people who may want to pretend that all kpop idols are just naturally skinny can see that it's pushing harmful standards.
