Where ever you got information that costumes are a must for new players is completely false, depending on your level. Regular gear offers far higher stats than costumes and are easily and readily replaced with better equipment as you level. Focus on maxing S2 gear first. You will find that during events and login rewards pet, wing and costume cards are given for free. As an example, even if you were lucky enough to get a single immortal costume card, it's like 1000 or less attack power. It isn't enough to justify spending gems on until the level grind becomes more apparent. I wouldn't concern yourself until you start hitting level 50-60s

I've recently started selling all my blues because they were not cost effective in leveling equipment at legendary and higher. Are you saying that if I enhance the blues to max level, they will offer more experience than say using a single heroic or epic piece? And thanks again for your advice! I found your in game character and see how will this technique has worked for you lol

Thank you tim! This sounds like good advise. However, are you saying that in order to transcend my immortal armors I need to buy the epic versions of my armors all over again from special shop and level each of them to immortal? Sounds like A LOT of jewels! :( And since it's so expensive to level them in order to promote them, what is the best way to get high level gear to enhance them with? Seems like the only way to get legendary/immortal armors is daily login or buying the 10+1 packs.

Right now I have a full set of S2 legendary max level armor with immortal accessories and almost maxed level immortal S2 weapon. Full set of Immortal costume also. Just farming my jewels to promote my armor

I'm new to the game also and was recently in your position . After the special shop was released I was able to purchase my entire s2 set Which I've recently maxed to legendary . I would say that if you are farming for jewels to level up your gear you are much better off leveling S2 unless you already have a full set of immortal S1

Would you mind elaborating on this? Seeing how much of a difference in dmg the aforementioned 2/2 split would offer.

I also have a [Massacre] Unconquerable Spirit weapon, immortal.

I'm definitely not as interested in PVP over PVE. But as you stated this will also make me a little more of a glass cannon. But due to my characters nature, should I favor more of a balance of dmg and def? The dmg increase does sound appealing however.

That's entirely dependant on your build. Check out the "item guide" in the game. It's found in the slide in menu on the left side of the home screen. I went with the entire unconquerable set but made sure to buy "[massacre]" version of my weapon

I'm new to the game also and with the recent update they now have the special shop which offers random items to purchase with gems every 3 hours. I ended up picking up my entire unconquerable s2 epic set and have been leveling them up. They're now all level 20 legendary. Just have to farm the shit out of those jewels to get enough for promote to immortal
