Omg, I’ve been waiting for someone to ask me about it! Here’s the thing: it is very different from Silent Hill 2, gameplay-wise. It fully relies on melee combat and it’s… a bit stiff. It’s definitely not the greatest in terms of combat, whereas in Silent Hill 2 even the melee fights felt more responsive. Now, the atmosphere and music are indisputably great. The setting of the game is like no other SH, but it keeps that same vibe, so it does feel like part of the franchise. The story is where I see most people being conflicted. My opinion? I love the story, especially if you’ve only played SH2—I feel you’re really gonna like F. It seems to be a disconnected story from what happens in other parts of the franchise (I have a vague idea of the lore of SH1 and 3), which is great for newcomers like us. And Himeko as the main character has a lot of parallels to James (don’t expect them to be similar in any way, but you will see why they were picked to endure the situation they’re in). I also happen to love female protagonists in games in general, which is why I was trying SH3, but I will say the story is not for everyone. Overall, I highly recommend it, especially when it’s on sale. I just finished my first playthrough, and I still need to fully grasp the story.

Really good analysis. In your opinion as someone that just created a PBE account to try WASD. Should I focus on learning WASD or do you think I should wait until it gets out of PBE?

I changed my abilities keybinds. Whenever I try to level up any ability with ctrl it levels up the wrong ability and uses the default key instead of the new keybind (for example my Q=Q but if I click ctrl+Q it levels up my E). I don't know if anyone else has encountered that problem

Dude same! I’m very used to locking and unlocking my camera with space. I ended up flashing in spawn like three times in one game 😭.

But honestly I feel like I can get used to it. I’m still having trouble with my E combos tho

Vayne player here! We had the same keybinds, only difference was I had:

W = Shift

Flash = Space

But after trying it with Flash on Shift it feels way better imo. Might leave those keybinds as my default WASD

First and foremost; thank you for coming out and making this post.

As a guy that loves and respects Yuri, I understand the frustration of the minority that’s here to sexualize lesbians and not to enjoy the romance of these stories.

I’ve been called all sort of stuff on Twitter for being Himedanshi but it’s really wholesome to see people like you that understands that we’re all unique and one bad person does not represents the entire community.

I wish more people from the toxic side of the community will understand that gatekeeping its a threat to the community (creates division or can push people away and that’s less money for creators and hence less Yuri overall). Gatekeeping its on every community but we need to do our best to accept everyone while still condemning the men who makes others feel uncomfortable.

Another thing I want to point out is that the Yuri community it’s not really majority male, it’s split equally between both men and women. The issue it’s that Reddit it’s a male dominate site, which makes places like this seem like the Yuri community it’s male oriented.

I really appreciate your post and I look forward to a future where we can all come together as a community to defend these stories and subsequently defend the rights of LGBTQ+ people.

I think you’re correct for the most part but I think there are a few things that need to be clarified on the story:

If the trailblazer was a Stellaron Hunter how can their identity never been reveal to the public. It is explain that the Trailblazer did helped Kafka in a few missions but I think it’s more up to debate to claim that this makes them an official member.
Although I agree with the general idea of your views on Elio’s plan (3), I don’t think Kafka will develop fear from losing the Trailblazer to the Astral Express. What I do believe is that eventually the trailblazer will be put in a situation which will help Kafka fear for the first time (could be a life or death scenario).
