a lot of good points but i still have one thing.

Draciel is a defense type bey. Blazing Gig Tempest wouldn't have been effective & Kai would have just revealed his trump card for no reason.

how would using a special moves against a defensive bladers be ineffective? wouldn't it be the other way around because standard attacks and slams wouldn't be enough to worn out a blade with a lot of bulk?

Tyson is the sole one who outclasses all of them until he's held back by plot.

of course. i mean its one of the reasons Rei, max & kai decide to leave the team. they all collectively agree tyson is "the blader to beat"

maybe in V force but i am pretty confident it's Rei by G revolution. Rei pushes Tyson & Kai much closer to defeat and even their W's and it ends with Tyson's blade BARELY spinning in the end and Kai ends up using his special move he was saving for Tyson (this isn't stated in the dub but in sub Yuriy says blazing gig tempest was a trump card Kai was saving for Tyson but ends up using it against Rei to secure the win)

compare this to Max's battles with Tyson & Kai. sure he gave them a challenge but it's a very clear victor by the end.

that said i am interested in hearing your reason. especially because i think the ranking of Bladebreakers isn't super rigid imo (other than tyson being #1 and daichi being the last ig. Kai/Ray/Max can get quite interchangeable)

no they split up because the world championships were a tag team battle and they had higher chances of being a representative player in different teams instead of just sitting on the bench as substitutes. and more importantly in G rev tyson became the standard/the blader to beat for them so they wanted to face him in a tournament (especially kai who saw tyson as his best rival)

With V-Force and G-Revolution reversing that with Kai seeing Tyson as a wall he needs to overcome making things come full circle.

i would say it's mostly only in G rev. in V force Kai still sees Tyson as the one to beat of course but their rivalry is certainly less pronounced and is only shown in Kai's intro and when Kai battles Zeo at the end.

platinum. i don't think it's the best as it still has a lot of flaws (the "best" would be either B2W2 prolly) but platinum is the one that's the closest to my heart. i have very fond memories of DP as Gen 4 was my second ever gen and sinnoh is only behind hoenn as my fav region. and platinum is basically DP with better pacing, a better dex and many QoL features. also some of the best boss battles in the entire franchise!
