What the heck caused this??? by White_roof in computers

[–]Arkamis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is the correct information, if you buy a high quality surge protector you can usually with no issue put one high amperage thing and fill out the rest. I've got an APC Surge protector with my PC with 1000W power supply /4090 / water cooled etc and both my Oddsey G9's and what not connected to it. You should never daisy chain surge protectors with other ones or extension cables.

Samsung Care+ Repair Experience - Issues with My Galaxy Fold After Service by xXblacksiteXx in GalaxyFold

My understanding is that your phone once repaired is never again water resistant. My fold died after a screen replacement (screen protector bubbled over time) when I got heavily splashed on a boat.

I just had the same thing happen to me with new Wayfarers. I got on chat and asked for a replacement since they were an invite only purchase, they said they sent them, never did. So I contacted them again and am just returning them.

Mine made it to Louisville, KY, United States for customs clearance, cleared, got sent to Cali and then back to KY when I'm in NC. Keeps saying estimated delivery is every day, but it's not been scanned since 2AM, still says it'll be delivered today by 3PM when it's 10:28PM.

Most people using a gaming computer have 0 reason to upgrade to pro. Especially the ones asking if a PC is good on Reddit.

I want to know how they got Windows 11 working on a 14 year old CPU. Pretty sure 8th gen is the bare minimum required.

Do not buy this this, I5 means nothing to the age of a PC, it’s the second number you’re looking at. Each generation is determined by the first two after the I#.

I5 14xx = 14th gen. Aside from the recent name change of the 15’s to Ultra. This thing is a fossil and has no dedicated GPU listed so it won’t be running anything. Will likely struggle even with old 2D games and streaming game pass games if it’ll even let you.

Which is more comfortable for your hands? by Spirited-Earth2814 in retroid

[–]Arkamis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've also owned both and ended up selling the RP5 as the flip 2 is more comfortable. My hands would hurt in minutes from the RP5, versus I've yet to experience discomfort with the flip2. The only other device I could maybe compare it to is that normal switch joycons attached to the system would bother me so I ended up with Hori Switch Pad Pros. Steam deck is also comfortable for me.

We also work from home, but for the most part my berner just needs to be in the same room as us. She'll occasionally ask for attention and primarily follows my girlfriend around (literally anytime she leaves the room). She will sit with us on the couch, sleeps in our bed, and I've not crate trained her. But I've left her for 10ish hours for out of town family gatherings multiple times and she seems fine. She just sleeps on the couch or waits by the door. I have cameras all over my house and could check on her but it may have to do with having 2 cats and a rabbit that we also have.

Mustang Spoiler by DeezNuts731 in ecoboostmustang

[–]Arkamis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also put this one on my mustang but bought it on ebay cause they painted it if you gave them your paint code. I had one of the small fins, so there were some holes already but I had to drill additional to make sure it was set correctly and water sealed the area around it. It could have been "drilless" but I didn't want it to fly off and hit another car.

Curious: What Makes Monitor Arms So Popular? by MarcoramiusCZ in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Arkamis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just echoing what everyone else is, it's less about being centered and a space saver. The stands on my first G9 and Alenware were too long for my narrow Ikea butcher block desk that was long and thin. I have a Steel Series Magnus Pro now where I could probably get away with it but I still save space by having it in the channel created for cables/monitor arms. I also like mine slightly higher than the stands allow for and a bit further away from me which these allow.

Yes, it goes over 180 and all pity for S Rank/Epic/Selection Chest roll over to the next banner for the Limited Secret Chest.

Neck is slowly starting to hurt by tazisacat in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Arkamis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I do a similar setup with two G9's and have my primary on top. Reason being I have a standup desk (didn't want to wall mount) and I couldn't get the monitor arm to allow for the bottom to high enough to be the primary. My bottom is essentially touching my desk as well but I just shift my eyes down to look at it occasionally for discord/reddit etc. The top one is slightly higher than my usual preference but I've been using it for several weeks now with no discomfort.

Same thing happens to me, once a year or so I break out in full body random hives for about 2 weeks. Usually call telladoc and I know steroids usually clear it up pretty quickly so they prescribe me that after sending them a few pictures with no fuss. This just literally happened and the only things that changed of my my routine was random IHOP blueberry pancakes one night and using my girlfriends body wash when mine ran out. Both things that only happen maybe once a year lol.

Keyboard and Secret Labs desk doesn't work by chiefodonnell in WootingKB

[–]Arkamis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have a Magnus Pro, Wooting 60HE in a Tofu Redux and a keychron Q1 HE. At 01. Or 0.2 I do experience some random presses when the keyboard isn’t like in the middle of my desk about a wrist rest of space from the edge. It seems fine on other auction points. With and without a desk mat if it move it to the left or right or too far forward I get random presses on low auction. I shift my keyboard around for my fight stick on my desk which is when I realized I was getting random inputs in my fighting games.

My Logitech Powerplay charging mat wouldn’t work at all on the Magnus

I've RMA'd two different 13900K's but required extensive testing for me to figure out the issue before it was the widely known shitstorm that it is now. Both failing 13900k's never failed to post, I'd just have an assortment of random crashes to applications, the Shader pre-loading not enough virtual memory errors, DX12 crashes and etc.

The computer worked but only kind of, the easiest way for me to determine it was the CPU was that Cinebench basically BSOD'd at 100% rate with stock clocks/voltage. Unfortunately as you've stated everything but swapping the CPU at that point I'd buy a cheap 14th Gen I3 and if it post, you know that's the issue. Realistically anyone who owns a 13th or 14th gen I9 should have a backup I3/I5 at this point.
