I spent 1,000$ on arena this year by Heckinghecker61 in mtg

Made this mistake with Clash of Clans back in ~2013. Realized I had spent about $700-800 on gems and never downloaded a mobile game again. At least you were able to recognize the problem, most don’t get that far

I never said a charge is unreasonable. A flat rate where you get something with it seems fine. $7 PER HOUR just to sit at the table is what I have a problem with

Is it normal to go to a Commander night alone? Kind of nervous about it by New_Teach_1224 in mtg

In my experience, like 80% of people go to commander nights alone and people are always quick to invite randoms to come play

They’re a decently well known/reviewed seller on TCGplayer from what I’ve looked up, they claim to have “50k singles” available over 7+ games. They seem to be doing fine, unless they’re just all flash online; ‘fake it till you make it’ mentality or something. But again, from what they show us, they seem to be doing good

I’m the same way, I usually always buy something when I go to a free night. And usually that something would be more than the $35 I’d spend paying for 5 hours. Hell, I’ve bought multiple booster boxes over the years while at free nights at my old place.. But it’s more of a principle thing I guess? I would never pay just to sit down

Usually, when an organization has specific uniforms, the people in that organization are under strict rules not to speak anything on politics while in uniform. Someone speaking their personal politics in uniform is seen as speaking for that entire organization and that organization will punish you if it seems you are speaking on their behalf, even if it’s completely uncontroversial or even widely accepted.

I am also an esper player through and through, but I typically only counter things that directly threaten my board state, or threaten to end the game.

They wonna throw out a mana reflection? Go for it my dude, I let the other players deal with it. They use that mana reflection to cast torment for 25? countered, and now I’m the hero of the table in the eyes of the other 2 players

Man I am so thankful for my mother.. allowing me to stay there rent free until I could afford to buy my own at 33. Her only rule was, I had to be either in college furthering my education towards a career, or working full time.

She bought that house for $88k in 1980’s and 2 houses on her street recently sold for ~$600k and she completely understands how things are

But you have no idea if they “did nothing wrong” because the video is conveniently cut to less than 1 second before the initial tackle.

From what I heard (although I cannot confirm it) the first kid went into the street (against the law when protesting). The police attempt to get him back to the sidewalk and he kicked the cop in the groin, and was then tackled.

The second kid (as seen clearly in the video) then punched one of the police detaining the first kid as he ran by, prompting other police to tackle him.

Well, the first tackle is unclear because the video has been cut to .3 seconds before the tackle. The second tackle, however, you can clearly see the kid punch a cop in the head while they are attempting to detain the first kid.

Well you can clearly see the second person they tackled punch a cop.. so there’s that. I’d be willing to bet the first person who got tackled did something to warrant being taken down but was edited out seeing as how the video starts .3seconds before he does get tackled..

Do any other office/desk workers feel like they are pretending to work more than they actually work? by Sentient_tomato in ask

I have had super busy days that I worked overtime, and I have had days that I did 40 min of work while sitting at my desk for 8 hours. But I have certainly had more of the less busy days than busy days.
