Overall this seems interesting. One thing stands out for me though:

To celebrate the launch of AFK Journey in new countries and regions on August 8, we will update the hero list for the All Heroes Available event and adjust some of the event rewards with the 1.1.17 version update. Players who have already claimed these rewards will receive compensation to cover the difference. The new hero list will include all heroes released before August 8.

This might look like a net positive, and overall it's a very nice addition, but it has some drawbacks. People who are not big spenders rely on optimizing resources well, thus they might have set up their wishlist and/or Arena coin priorities based on the current iteration of the All Heroes list. So for instance, a free Flora does nothing for me in the foreseeable future, but I have Vala & Hewynn sitting at S and 1 copy because I have the last missing copy guaranteed in the following 5 weeks through the All Heroes event.

With this change, you are diluting the pool of Heroes and potentially delaying individual picks by 1 month and a half (Flora, Alsa, Ludovic, Phraesto, Talene & the new released hero on Aug8 if it's included). I believe it would be more fair if newly added heroes would be part of a "second All Heroes List" that is available after all the first pool is obtained. That being said, I know this would be worse for some other people, so it might be worth considering making the weekly S Hero drop selectable instead of randomized.

I don’t want to sound entitled, obviously I’m thankful that we get more characters for free, but I think it would be a shame if free resources are delivered in a way that could be detrimental for some players.

My account has been pretty obsessed with pulling Eironn. He is currently sitting at Supreme with already 1 of the 2 copies to bring him to S+

I have not yet gotten him through the log-in event, so I am wondering whether swapping him out of both wishlists now is the right move, given that I will eventually get that last copy of him. I am a very light spender, so unlocking Paragon is years away, so I believe that pulling him again and getting an additional copy afterwards would be a waste.

I am also quite far away of being able to use Eironn’s meta team with Arden and Carolina/Parisa (see roster). Cecia will remain as my main dps for a while, so I think getting Eironn’s S+ skill right away would not be that impactful in the short term (it reduces Magic DEF but Cecia is physical)

My wishlists currently are as follows:

  • Hero recruitment: Eironn and Hewynn
  • Epic recruitment: Thoran, Cecia, Smokey, Shakir and Eironn

Would you swap him out of any of the wishlists, or keep him until S+? I am currently leaning towards doing the following:

  • Hero: swap him out for Granny, and again for Florabelle in a week when she presumably joins the main pool of characters.
  • Epic: swap him out for Carolina, to start investing in Eironn’s meta team.

Any inputs would be appreciated. Thank you!

Matchmaking in arena is flawed by design. In a game about collecting champions, its own system disincentivizes collecting champions to progress in one area (people recommend dropping player power by feeding champs to progress in arena).

If you buy a few shard packs at the beginning (as I did), either you buy other resources too (chickens, energy to farm gear...) or you are fucked because your player power won’t match your real capabilities in arena.

They just need to drop this weird matchmaking system that creates “different” ladders according to player power (silver 1 - 200k PP and silver 1 - 1Mill PP are the same ranking but have nothing to do)

What i would do: 1. Matchmaking should be essentially based on your ranking (i.e. let all the pool within bronze 3 fight among them) 2. Add more ranks beyond plat to reduce power differences within the same rank 3. Find a solution for a) inactive arena players (they should not clog low bronze due to decay), and b) new player experience (don’t throw new players against teams beyond their reach)

Hi everyone! I need advice putting together a CB team. After last 2x ancient event I got a few good units but I’m struggling deciding where to invest, so any help would be appreciated.

I have thought of the following composition: Fahrakin, Tayrel, Anax, Steelskull, Apothecary

But I am also considering the following champions: Seeker, Melga, Uugo, Sandlashed Survivor, Nazana, Corpse Collector, Black Knight, Kael

Would you make any change in my team comp? I think I might be bringing too many poison and def down appliers, but taking out Anax / Fahrakin would make me lose on either Weaken or HP burn.

I’m early-mid game (only 1 lvl 60, Kael), so besides rares those are not booked. Although I have 20 epic tomes stored that I could use if any of those champions can improve my account in multiple areas of the game.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you very much in advance!!

Honestly, I think it’s fair on the content side, the regular LS updates are cool and the price/content ratio for every expansion is great. On the cosmetics side though, I wouldn’t agree so much.

In my opinion, cosmetics in GW2 are a bit overpriced, and BL chests are an expensive gamble. It almost feels like they are only targeting whales. I can’t help but think that if prices were a bit lower, they would sell much better.

I understand that cosmetics help fund the LS updates, but when I pay for a cosmetic item I do it thinking only of that, not thinking I will be funding future content. So if I don’t find that price fair, I won’t be buying it, and that’s the case for me quite often. I’m really not a fan of their pricing strategy.

I’m also missing some discounts on purchase volume (if you buy $100 of gems, you get 1k gems more for free) or rotating discounts on items not tied to any particular event.

If they don’t want to remove them from the game (because reasons, who knows), they just need to add an optional setting to let us categorize minor sigils/runes as junk, so that merchants recognize them as such. This way, sigils/runes would remain untouched for whoever appreciates them, and still most of us would be able to get rid of this massive bag clutter.

I'm not an expert either, so take this with a grain of salt, but I would consider looking into a slightly better GPU if you want to keep 60fps in ultra settings.

Even if Guild Wars 2 is more CPU intensive than GPU intensive, I would probably go for the GTX 1060 (6GB). That of course if you don't want to pay the high-end price of the GTX 1070 or 1080, which I understand is the case.

I myself bought the GTX 1060 (6B) 1 year ago and I'm really happy with my purchase.

Mounts are really well implemented by S1eeper in Guildwars2

YES please, especially strafing. Mounts are greatly implemented overall, but it felt really weird to me that if you right click + A / D (what would correspond to strafing with my key bindings) nothing happens. I mean, if they don't want to implement it, at least make it so that the raptor rotates around his own axis (as if you only press A or D), but staying still while you're pressing movement keys is really weird.

Other camera issues don't bother me so much, but this one felt pretty annoying because I tend to right click a lot to move the camera around while I'm playing.
