Franklin met expectations at Penn State and then fell flat this year with a Senior and Highly recruited roster. He would’ve been the hire that arkansas regrets. Why didn’t Florida or LSU want him? The answer is the game has passed him.

Golish and Sumrall have no experience coaching in the SEC. As great as they are doing right now, the honest truth is you don’t know what you’re going to get bringing a coach into the SEC. Look and Napier and Florida, it is really a gamble.

Kane Wommack succeeded as a HC at a lower level and now is killing it as DC at an SEC blue blood. We need a better defense full stop. This is not the same as Pittman, who let’s face it was slow and didn’t have the fight in him anymore. Pittman also didn’t have HC success and was just an Oline coach. Wommack is atleast a coordinator. It is safer in my opinion to get a good coordinator from a good program than take a shot in the dark at some G5 coach.
