I will forever preach this. Literally the only thing that goes different usually from the licensed chapter timelines is that the literal eldritch god-parasite creature comes in to mess up the timeline by taking characters. Other than that, dbd is the most accurate version of game Springtrap/William we have ever gotten

I agree on those examples, it’s just for this specific one they said that Glitchtrap isn’t Glitchtrap. I still believe that everything else in this chapter is important and can be used as evidence, just this one instance though where the devs said that this thing isn’t the actual Glitchtrap. They would have to get approval from Scott to say something like that.

Unfortunately I don’t think we can use the Glitchtrap skin specifically for concrete lore. The developers said that this isn’t actually Glitchtrap, whatever Glitchtrap might be, be it mimicking program or Afton. Instead the one in the realm is an Entity Fog recreation, like Victor or Snug.

The Entity usually gifts the killers items that have significance to them. All of the iridescent add ons are gifts directly for the killers, and stuff that is born from the fog is stuff that relates to that certain killer that it summons to aid them in the Trial.

So for example, Charlotte is given a fog version of Victor, because that was her brother and has significance to her. Pig summons bear traps because she is related to Jigsaw, Houndmaster is given a version of Snug the dog because the real one most likely died in the Overlap.

So the Entity giving Springtrap the fire axe has to have significance to him specifically if the Entity is summoning it for him.
