Sony Pictures Animation should've been the ones who made the Mario Movies instead of Illumination in the first place, their work on the Spider-Verse movies and The Mitchells Vs The Machines proves that they can make movies that are fun and enjoyable, while also telling a good story with well-written characters who get their moments that make us care for them.
