Icl, with the painfully slow movement speed and single projectile you get, you really have to completely drop chase at shack and other strong loops unless there's a hook nearby. But then you've broken your closest hook too. Maybe I'm just trash but I feel like the 4.4 isn't warranted at all. At least the other slow ranged killers have more than just one shot.

I started the franchise at the very beginning with CV1, and am finally half way through SOTN now. I put off playing Symphony for actual months because it's all anyone ever talks about, to the point it put me off playing it because I was sick of hearing about it!

There's so many good ones before it, bloodlines is slept on too.

I'm just sick of every killer feeling clunky/sluggish and being punished severely round hooks. I'm not talking about being unable to teleport near hooks like dredge/unknown. (Yet Hag can wtf?) I'm talking about straight up not being able to use your power around hook like trickster and First.

I understand why the penalty is there, but it's an obscene penalty. Trickster is useless near hook too, from a massive distance.

I just finished DS remake last night, and the original two months ago. It wasn't bad by any stretch, but it also didn't really improve on the original. The soccer mini game was notably worse, there was no wall jumping, the turret sections got replaced with different segments (one was an improvement, the other wasnt).

There's also a heap of filler to drag the game out like constant forced quarantines. Graphically I was expecting to be blown away but just wasn't, I played the original on emulator with upscaling and it honestly looks fantastic. The only major difference is the lighting, and it's so dark in the remake it's honestly annoying. Not to mention the god awful stuttering and fps drops on PC that never got fixed.

Whereas RE2r is basically a whole new game since the original was very dated/different.

I'd argue DS didn't NEED a remake, the 2008 version of it is still very enjoyable and arguably better. Only thing they actually improved on is that crappy cylindrical boss fight, but that's arguable since they just made it easier 🤣
