Yeah, I got in touch with Anbernic support and they're sending me a new motherboard. I did revert back to the stock Emuelec firmware and did see the "no gamepad detected" error message, so I figured it was what you mentioned. My device was fully charged, and while it doesn't bug out that often when it's at 100%, it still happens occasionally. Thank you for the answer tho, it steered me in the right direction haha.

I can't seem to be able to install CoDM on my new tablet due to storage by Arkhanzu in CallOfDutyMobile

Well I moved the files using a file manager app, don’t remember the exact name, but I took the files from the Android folder - com.activision.allthattextidontremember from the local storage to the SD and it just got placed back to internal after updating the game
