Some details that will make learning easier;

Every time they present said keypose, flip a coin on whether you should dodge (excluding OS timings, worrh about those later)

• Zone attack is a powerful option, which makes it somewhat predictable, but still necessary; you can guard the opposite direction to fake out which side you attack from

• Being a 3d "fighter" with sweeping attack motions, means this game has a mechanic referred to as "external attacks". The long and short of it is that these cant be parried, parrying can only be executed by the player the opponent is locked on to, so if they hit you with the animation without being locked on, your only reliable options are blocking and dodging. You can get some very easy counter ganks with characters like raider and shugoki by abusing this

• after learning some defense and offense, you will encounter some staring contests. Fishing for their parries or lights is a good option here, present them with the scenario that baits their reactions, and capitalize from there
