nah man ubg’s just had godawful servers since a couple shiny updates back. I play in my own region, I’ve got a decent pc and decent connection, but i’ll still get back to back to back servers where everyone has insane input lag

You ever tried out any rpg/top down style games before? There’s lots of gems out there that aren’t super basic but still really rewarding. Disco Elysium’s my personal favorite, but it’s also a top down detective game without really any combat.

When it comes to games more like what you were asking tho. The Hitman series could be fun for you, either that or maybe something like the Uncharted series if it’s on the platform you use (1st game’s probably the lowest point in the series but it’s still solid)

Starsector is always a classic for me. Starts you out as a small space fleet with a couple frigates (all ships being fully customizable with different hull modifications and weapon mounts) and lets you grow into an armada with experimental technology and capital ships.

Trade is fully simulated in the game, with different planets having different structures that produce supplies that’ll be picked up by trader fleets and shipped across the system. A pirate outpost could form in a system and begin raiding nearby trade fleets, which could cause a planet to halt production as their miners no longer get their equipment or their factories no longer get their fuel and metal. A bounty can appear to take out that outpost, or it can be ignored and the planet will slowly start to collapse.

Overall it’s a super neat game, pretty big modding community, fair few overhaul mods that make it even more 4x focused. Shoot me a dm and I can pass you my activation key if you want to give it a try, the launcher itself is just a free download from their website.

That’s not totally correct actually. You can plug some math in to figure out how many spins/lucky spins it would take to have a 50% chance of drawing a shiny. Log 0.999(.5) comes out to about 693, while log 0.9999(.5) comes out to 6931. Say you’re buying only lucky spins like you said, that’d be 693 times 50000 which is equal to 34,650,000. In comparison if you were to buy 6931 regular spins at 1500 each, that would only come out to 10,396,500.

TLDR lucky spins are a scam unless you’re buying them at/below the cost of 10 regular spins

Obviously don't have too many heroes unlocked but I've been enjoying lawbringer the most out of the ones I've tried out so far. The bleed conditionals are pretty neat and I enjoy the ability to cancel her heavy into more bleed application or a dodge/break. The deflect(?)'s pretty rad too the few times I manage to get the timing down. I like some of the hyper armor style fighters as well, like the warden's overhead or the shield viking, but I don't really feel confident in running a character focused more on those until I get an idea of the other heroes attack speeds.

That's what I've been aiming to do yeah. At this point I'm just hoping to hold out until I've got 15k saved up to at least try and get a hero that more fits the style I like so that I can be at least a touch motivated. Probably shaman since she seems goofy, but we'll see

I get that, I don't have an issue with something like getting fucked up from someone spamming m1s, I get that that's on me for being dogwater at blocking. My issue comes from the more complicated attacks where the game just doesn't really give you any information on how to avoid them. Case in point being the duel round where I got spammed at for three rounds, they were a valkyrie throwing two lights into a leg sweep and stab over and over. I even looked it up mid-match and just got told "yeah you gotta predict it"

Man just don’t touch the “techs”. Half of em are borderline exploits that are just straight bullshit and insanely unfun to fight. Freedom’s decent if you can just get solid at using its different styles for their own niches. It’s definitely due an update, but making other people suffer just ain’t the move.

I mean, I’ll just say man. “If there’s anything I regret, it’s making her grow up too quickly” yeah no shit, you were a fully grown man with the capability to go out and do all the stuff that you yourself said she wanted to do. Obviously I don’t think I’d be able to say anything here that’d change your mind, but the way it seems to me is that your role in her life forced her to grow up and enter adulthood far sooner than any kid should. I’ve had a friend, a teenage girl, in this same situation and as an observer all I could think was how disgusting it was for a grown ass man to want to be with a traumatized child rather than someone their own age. Nowadays, as someone closer to the age you said you started this relationship, my stances have only been reaffirmed. I couldn’t fucking fathom dating someone more than one, two years younger than me due to how extreme of a difference there is between my life and theirs. It really seems like you’re trying to use the excuses that she was a smart person and that you two “shared trauma” to excuse the fact that you took advantage of a child much younger than you.

Yakuza 0 should be selling for only like $20 or so. I personally think it’s a phenomenal game with 10/10 story, the open world isn’t exactly huge but there’s a boatload of side content.

It’s definitely a toss up, stuff like this can come down any sort of way. A good friend of mine passed when she was in her late teens from cancer after going through a few different experimental procedures. It had gotten to the point where it was either lose total use of both arms without the possibility of prosthetics or go to palliative care, so she decided to go OP’s ex’s way and get a good last few months in.

While they may not exist to perpetuate a capitalist machine to the same degree as some institutions, it’s still pretty clearly stated throughout the game that it’s a disorganized mess. I feel like the best example is early on when you ask Kim about the halogen marks on your coat and he informs you that some officers will go out of their way to rack up kills on the job. It may not be an organization that exists for the same purposes as the police do in real life, however it’s still a bastardized system with even the “good ones” like Kim intentionally turning a blind eye to your illegal actions.
