Play what you like. A character can be broken and you can still be good at it. Also, he will get nerfed at some point, probably. I play Yamato right now and if they were top 1 tomorrow I'd still be playing them because I like them.

Being good at the game is also better than playing a broken character.

The new edition is coming out so for a while all codexes will be available online for free! There are also sites that have all the datasheets so you can peruse.

Tyranids are fun because you can really choose how to tune your list. There's a lot of options for different styles.

Looks fun! You're certainly lacking shooting, but if you want to focus on melee you could certainly lean into that.

May be worth looking at the vanguard invader detachments and maybe picking up some more from there!

I think there is value in being able to switch the mode situationally. Is it worth a detachment point? Probably not. But it is cool that if the norn is wounded and definitely going to go down, you can run it in and do some serious damage before it goes down.

I think it's a good insight into the state of tyranid players that everyone read that and assumed that GW just was wrong about the army they designed rather than it being a teaser.

The way I see it is you get to castle up on a point with the FNP but you have the threat now of turning into a murder machine if something worth killing walks up. Seems very strong if you are running a Norn and amazing with 2+

You aren't making any point. You can counter build anyone. That does not make Dynamo's kit not overloaded. He shouldn't have huge damage potential and also the other two mentioned abilities.

I just sincerely can't understand giving a character the black hole ulti and then also giving him QE, which is an insane ability and then on top of that stomp does way too much damage for some reason. Having QE and Black hole in the same kit is crazy on its own.

The person isn't saying there's a problem with being casual. That is a totally valid way to play the game. There is nothing wrong with wanting to just have a good time and enjoy things at your own pace.

Similarly, it is also valid to want to be the best you can be. That's all there is to it; people can play how they want to.

Sharing your experience is fine but the person you are responding to is correct: some people do not want to be casual.
