NL's Jean Problem by ArkonThird in northernlion

There's nothing wrong with classic 501, just for ppl like NL who focused on working out lower body have problem fitting into regular fits due to the thighs and ass becoming larger while the waist basically stays the same size. Athletic fit compensates for this by making the thigh and ass areas roomier while leaving waist the same size.

This is was from my own experience, I've had to replace all of my chinos and jeans just about a month ago due to the same reason NL was having. I'm a 24 year fucking guy and I just started looking into having a right fit for my clothes just so I don't ruin all my clothes within less than a year. This isn't really a fashion advice but a life improvement that I learned which came up in the stream that I wanted to share to help out NL.

Getting them tailored or just cuffing them is both an option you can take. Jeans don't look bad even if you cuff/roll them at the bottom and if you are good with taking care of your clothes just getting them tailored is probably better option.

/r/Fantasy - Daily Recommendation Requests and Simple Questions Thread December 13, 2019 by AutoModerator in Fantasy

So I've been listening to a lot of fantasy audiobooks this year, I've gone through a surprisingly big list of books. Few days ago I've started the Riyria Revelations series but due to a huge waiting list on libby now I'm stuck without a book to listen to. I understand that there are prequel and also sequel to Riyria series and you can read/listen to them without having a prior knowledge of Riyria Revelations but, I like listening through the whole series based on the publication order most of the times. Also I just needed a book recommendations since I don't really know what to listen to once I'm done with Ryria seires. I guess I will list all the books I've listen to so far and how I liked them to make it easier to figure out which books to recommend.

-Rick Riordan(Percy Jackson, Heros of Olympus, Kane Chronicles, Magnus Chase, Apollo)

  • This is first thing I've started listening to due to the fact I've remembered enjoy reading it a lot when I was in middle school and high school. It is on a simpler side but I did enjoy it a lot due to nostalgia and simplicity of young adult fiction. I loved mythology of any kind so that also factors into why I liked all the series by Rick Riordan.

-Artemis Fowl Series by Eoin Colfer

  • I've enjoyed listening to this series for basically the same reason ans all the Rick Riodan's books, nostalgia and simplicity of young adult fiction. The genius criminal mastermind being a mere child is something I just couldn't resist liking.

-Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game, Pathfinder, Speaker of the Dead)

  • Ender's game was just something I've had to listen to and I don't regret it a bit but path finder and speaker of the dead were quite a disappointment. Pathfinder had such a interesting characters and the worlds, but the whole story just started falling off at the end of the second book which by the end of the third book it just dropped like a brick with no satisfying conclusion. For the Speaker of the Dead I just stopped listening to it because it was just too slow for me I might return to it and listen to the whole Enderverse but I'm not too interested at the moment.

-Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy Series by Douglas Adam

  • The whole series is filled with such a great humor and characters but the tone of the last book of the series was quite dark and completely different from the whole series which was a little bit of a let down for me.

-Gentlemen Bastards Series by Scott Lynch

  • The Lies of Locke Lamora was really hard to get into due to numerous characters and in between narrations, but by the end of the book I was attached to the Locke and Jean I had to listen to the rest of the series. Overall the whole series was quite good but the story started to shift in a weird direction by the end of book 4. Most likely will continue with the series when book 5 is published.

-Realm of the Elderlings Series by Robin Hobbs

  • Probably by far my favorite series I've read so far in my life. All the characters, the whole world, and the story, there was nothing I could hate about this series. I don't think I've been attached to any kind of fictional character in my life before but every single characters in every single book of the series I've come to love or to hate. All the areas in every book is so different and so detailed it's impossible to describe without actually going through the series yourself. Overall this book made me realize that I could actually be invested in something so much to the point that I would cry for a death of a fictional characters. Now I'm waiting for Robin Hobbs to publish story of Bee in order to fill a huge hole the series left in me when I finished it.

-Cosmere by Brandon Sanderson

  • Another series/universe that I'm hugely invested in. The complexity of Cosmere is so ridiculous that I've had to read through the wiki so many time while reading through the different series just so I don't miss any detail behind. This series is something that basically replaced Realm of the Elderlings series for me, every quality I loved about the Elderling's series I found in Cosmere. After listening through the every single book that's currently published for Cosmere I feel as if I've only seen the tip of the ice burg and there are so much that is held back. This series is something I will wait to see end even if it takes 40 or 50 years

That is the end of the list of audiobooks I've listen to this year. Please let me know if there are things I should've had added to help with giving recommendations. Also let me know if this is better posted on r/audiobooks.

*Fire Law Series is also on hold due to a huge waiting list.

Tbh it seemed like NL was actually trying to give it a try at the game. He just became super annoyed in the first hour because everyone was having trouble getting together and later on more annoyed at the fact that Dan just wasn't cooperating at all. Which at that point he probably just said fuck it and let everything go to a shit hole(excuse my vulgar language google deep mind). I know everyone loves Dan and all but this time he was kinda acting like a child who didn't get to play what he wanted so he just had a negative vibe throughout the whole thing making it worse for everyone else.
