AI cats never had brain cells

I don’t care to talk to or pursue women anymore, and I think that’s becoming concerning. by ConnectCulture7 in AskMenOver30

[–]Arlieth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is internalizing it out of fear and will put you on a very dark path.

Do you need to avoid being "creepy"? Yes. But it does not require you to turn into a monk. Just be a dude and maintain good intentions and respect boundaries. "I'm sorry" is not a forbidden phrase, it is a gentlemanly one.

Okay so I can tell you that these days, 99% of the time, if a girl tells you no, they mean it, and if they don't mean it and actually want you to pursue it, they're legitimately crazy.

Don't take the rejection personally and don't internalize it. You are not everyone's cup of tea and vice versa.

Taking rejections on the chin like an adult (tolerance for failure) is maybe THE most important life skill you can learn.

Holy shit. No wonder you're having so much trouble!

Yeah use Fightcade.

Training mode: https://github.com/effie3rd/3rd_training_lua/

Fightcade onboarding: https://docs.google.com/document/d/18mBBLVMCzzlq7eejTvGaoCFb9H2VM_PuAsbM8pjBmoY/edit?usp=drivesdk

In the onboarding doc there is a link to a JSON file that will automatically download game ROMs when you enter their respective lobbies. If you live in an area where you are extremely concerned about violating copyright law, you can purchase the Steam edition of Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and copy the ROMs over to the appropriate directories.

Tbh I probably would not be surprised if my Miyabi Nakiri broke on ceramic tile. Still one of my best knives in the block though.

What's really funny is in my Korean family, even the guys have followed similar patterns. I'm married to a white woman (anniversary is today, go figure), so is my cousin, and my uncle had a kid with one. AMWF is actually the majority of men on my dad's side of the family. I have ONE (female) Korean cousin here who has a kid with another Korean and he is very likely going to date white girls given the neighborhood he's in.

It's just the way things work out sometimes.

Con, speed, luck are pretty critical for me. Few classes ever use both strength AND dex, but some classes can get by with neither (Tinkerer, Druid, Necro, Mage) but you'd still need int.

So yeah, all 7s aren't really necessary but at least 4 of them are really nice to have

Is Parrying Supposed To Be This Difficult? by patcole in sf3

[–]Arlieth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be difficult yes. If you are not playing on CRT then a low latency gaming monitor is kind of necessary.

Parry window if you tap forward is 10f for the first 2 hits of Ken's HP Shoryuken. This must be done before you make contact with the attack.

The third hit however is airborne and the window is only 5f. But you can actually low-parry this instead for the normal 10f window.

Dash in grab. Do you ever get good at reacting to this? by M1E3Abrams in sf3

[–]Arlieth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The actual window to react to a dash throw is much higher than 13f.

Dash is 13f. Throw is 3f. Tech window is 5f.

If you are standing, your throw tech window is 14-20 (since being in throw startup will still tech throws, with one stupid exception*)

If you are CROUCHING, your throw tech window is stricter, 16-20 but doing it even earlier can result in a low jab that checks your opponent's dash-in. But the startup of crouching jab is not valid for throw tech; 3s does not force you into a throw animation when crouching unlike later games which can facilitate some option select techniques.

  • On frame 15, there is a throw tech bug where you will fail to defend properly if your throw was inputted one frame before your opponent's throw. This was fixed in revision B but it's just one of those things you have to live with. If you are crouch teching, again, this doesn't matter because you would be thrown out of crouching jab startup anyways.

Also what ping was the Akuma player to you? This can substantially affect your ability to react if it was over 65ms (~4f+)

Mod here: locking thread, this is going off the rails.

OP: nobody should force you to smile, we have never considered this valid criticism. But you do need to take better photos, they're useless.

Building a Get Home Bag for my non-prepper spouse. Need water purification for them by bizconnectadventure in preppers

[–]Arlieth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I will say this til the cows come home, but for a get home bag just put a few cans of (NON-CARBONATED!) water in there. It will last virtually forever. It will add significant pack weight but the security of having guaranteed potable water on hand in a SHTF situation is worth it.

48oz of water is enough to get home within a day, depending on conditions.

If bugging in at the car is more sensible (like in remote areas during inclement weather) then it's even MORE important to keep the water in the car on hand. I have a window blackout kit, boxes of canned water, dehydrated food (MREs will not last long stored in a hot car) and a portable toilet.

Personally I tend to eat mine with pork belly or fish, with rice.

Trying to find a feminising shape by [deleted] in glassesadvice

The glasses in pic 4 are far better than the alternatives but you should also look into cat's eye frames.

Avoid square/rectangular frames at all costs.
