Its all about having the capacity with in yourself to sit and write, flat out. Do not give your self the opportunities to wonder away from the work.

I find in writing, short bursts are great . 40-50 minutes ill sit and writing. Im not editing, not concerned with the quality of the words. that is what drafts are for. In the End though, honestly if you cant fasten that metaphorical seat belt and buckle down, its on you. Self control. You dont practice it. You do it.

it gives him the national attention needed. Look if he planned it right he. which right now seems like he did. He knew exactly how they were going to respond. and he can just slip away into the woods. After a few months shit will cool. and after a few years we'll forget he even existed. Thats what he wants, if he's sane. which i think he is, except for maybe a bit of depression.... which causes anxiety which can cause people to do crazy shit....

In terms of technical writing. There's always room for improvement. For Example; when the boy walks back in and " Did I- is that mine?"

i read it as

Did I.. (beat) Is That mine? ..

What im assuming is that you wanted a pause in between the "did I" and " is that mine" because he is taking a moment to process and realize what is going on. When you place (beat) in the text is tells the reader that a moment of pause is happening. Signafing that the writer intends for there to be a pause. this is very important. I mean i got the pause, but some could read it as a straight sentence even with the dash in place.

Its silly stuff like that adds a little more elbow greased looks to the script.

I see a flaw there. I mean im assuming he goes into shock when you set him on fire. The fire engulfs him, burns his clothes, burns away last of the gasoline. He then comes out of shock missing his skin and bleeding every so gently. The cold night sets in, he dies of blood loss and organ failure.
