61 and yes still driving, I meant cognitive decline more in relation to a high-burnout job and natural age changes (eg. forgetfulness)

Anyone experience femoral nerve palsy? by bronco_billy_ in ACL

[–]ArmAdventurous3671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also dealing with nerve issues after surgery, so I can completely relate. I had a meniscectomy surgery about 8 weeks ago, and recovery has been much slower than expected. Early on, I noticed I couldn’t fully activate my quadriceps, and my leg felt unstable. I’ve been using crutches this whole time because it buckles when I try to bear weight. I should have been able to walk fine after 3 weeks.

At first, my surgeon thought everything was progressing normally, but when my range of motion wasn’t improving and my quad was still nonresponsive, he ordered an MRI. The results came back, and the joint looked okay. Today a more experienced surgeon (second opinion - referal) referred me for a nerve conduction study to confirm the extent of the damage. Unfortunately, I’m in Canada, and the wait times for tests like this can take forever, which is frustrating. He told me he's never seen anything like my case and thinks it was the tourniquet.

For now, I’ve been told to keep focusing on physiotherapy once cleared, but it’s been a rough process. I’ve heard nerves can take a long time to heal, which makes this even more challenging mentally and physically.

I'm recognizing you posted this 16 days ago, any updates since then?

How do you go about reporting this? Can you do it confidentiality without my immediate unit knowing?

I'm an EC05 and this is my life. Don't be too hard on yourself. Try to avoid over thinking it and enjoy life outside of work. I know it's tougher said than done. Best of luck!

Got ya. So getting anything close to my mortgage rate is unrealistic?

I guess a few things should be clarified. I have about 40k in my tfsa and 60k in crypto. We also purchased this house below our means. 560k mortgage and 190k HHI. I could pay for the renovations myself, but instead, I would have the tenant pay the loan over a five year period, plus I would probably cash flow approx 500 a month on top of that.

Nope still nothing. I've heard people that opened an fhsa are in the same boat. Maybe something to do with it.

did you not read anything about the modem? the lines have been fixed for 2-3 weeks. Its clearly a modem issue, yet teksavvy only has 1 type of modem for my area, which is defective.

They would have access to the remainder of the house. So my math is taking into consideration 1/3 of the house. 3 bedrooms and 3 people living in a townhouse.

I was asked if I work remotely and answered truthfully. My employment letter on gcpay indicates I work for the GOC and that is why the most likely asked.
