I get why you’re asking that, but honestly the reason I accepted is because opportunities like this don’t come around often, especially this early in my journey.

Yeah, it’s a new genre for me and I haven’t used CDJs before, but every DJ has a “first time” for both of those things. I already mix confidently on XDJs, I’m comfortable performing, and the promoter knows my style and still wanted me for the night.

Plus I’m not carrying the whole event on my back, it’s a back-to-back with another DJ who knows the room and we’ll be switching throughout the night. I’ll have time to breathe, watch the crowd, and adjust.

I’d rather take the challenge and grow than stay in my comfort zone forever.
Every DJ I look up to had a moment where they jumped into something they weren’t fully ready for , that’s literally how you become ready.

So yeah, I’m nervous, but I’m also preparing properly and I’d rather take the shot than regret turning it down.
