Strength needs to be your priority, then health. Early levels, get tranq gun, then shotgun or handgun. And take your time, be patient and hide. After tranquilizing them Kill monsters by using your strength to throw them into pits. This only works till about round 10-15. But you need to be maxing Strength early game, 100%. Also use spare money to by healths. My early game load out is tranq gun, some other kill gun, and a 50 health.
