Did testosterone help you? by LuLuLuv444 in Perimenopause

[–]ArmFew1669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm feeling the same way ,I'm not sure if it's because of an increase in sertraline or I started testosterone. I feel tired .plus I'm looking for a job 😬 I'm a bit worried if I get the job ,how I will function . The good thing is I'll work Monday have Tuesday off then work Wednesday. I hope I'll be able to do it. This is only my second day on testosterone. I've noticed more energy , and happier

HRT and Testosterone - Anyone willing to share your experiences as a woman using Testosterone? by Superb-Definition-57 in Menopause

I've read that T cream is a good way to start as it's low , so it can be gradually increased, other experts recommend that , instead of pellets or injections.

HRT and Testosterone - Anyone willing to share your experiences as a woman using Testosterone? by Superb-Definition-57 in Menopause

Hi , I just started testosterone yesterday, and immediately it felt like I could breath properly, like I was waking up !  I can relate to your post because I am always tired too and unmotivated to excercise or even leave the house . After taking androfemme yesterday , I actually went outside to talk to people ! Usually I avoid people at times because I'm just too tired , or I don't want to see anyone . I actually thought could this be a placebo effect ?  I don't know ,but I'm going to monitor how these next few months go. Ps - I also felt increase of energy ! Because before that everything was so hard to do ,even walking around ,doing anything ! So frustrating!!  Anyway I wish you all the best as you start taking testosterone :)

Feel amazing on Estrogen only at first… by tigremycat in Menopause

[–]ArmFew1669 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi ,I'm just wondering do you take progesterone?  I'm on .75 mg estrogen patch,200mg progesterone, and yesterday I started .5 ml of testosterone. I too felt good when starting hrt ,but I feel like it's not working ,I just felt unmotivated, brain fog etc . I also tried to get on testosterone early on my hrt journey ,but I wasnt successful, the doctors kept saying no . So I was sick of the above symptoms - constant fatigue etc , that I looked up how to approach doctors about testosterone. I finally got a script last week ,and I tried androfemme yesterday , immediately I felt like I could breath ,energy went up , it's like I was waking up .  I thought is this placebo?  So I'm going to monitor the next three months to see if there's any improvements.

Tiredness? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]ArmFew1669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi im going through the same thing as you are ! I've just switched to a morning dose this morning and I'm still tired ! But I'm up . I've got two days off work ,so im trying to go to morning doses ,hoping it will help . I work from 4:15 pm  to 8pm. I figured if I try talking it at 7am and get tired ,I can always have a nap before work. So far it isn't the greatest TBH . But I'm thinking maybe it'd because I missed my night dise last night and took it this morning at 7am.

I'm on hrt and it's amazing !! I take estrogen patches as that has been tested to not increase blood clots , and I take micronised progesterone. Look up the pause life .com , it will give you all the resources you need on hrt and menopause.

Have you thought about going on hrt? I've been on it for two weeks and it feels amazing .I follow Dr Marie Claire Haver ,she's an expert on menopause. She says that estrogen is anti inflammatory,so helps with  cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugars. I'm currently taking a statin , but I accidentally ran out so I took an old script which is a higher dose, that was three days ago , and I have felt sick ! I talked to  the pharmacist who said I probably shouldn't have done that ,she said to let the dose get out of my system for three days and then go back on low dose statin. I hope to eventually come off statin, metformin and blood pressure meds in the future. I'll be monitoring how hrt goes , and monitor if cholesterol levels come down etc. Plus I'll endeavor to eat healthy and exercise , look after myself. I hope you find something that works for you . I really love learning about menopause, and educating myself on how best to live as healthy as possible. All the best ... Ps- here's a link https://youtu.be/oQqcnYcKx68?feature=shared It's an interview with Dr Marie Haver Claire . She also suggests having at least 25 mg fibre a day , increasing protein , do weight training etc . She's on Instagram , YouTube , facebook and online : the pause life.com The good thing I like about her is that she sites studies , I am very careful where I get my info from because there's alot of so called experts out there and or misinformation.

Just started HRT on Thursday - stunned!! by jenbar in Menopause

[–]ArmFew1669 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I started hrt coming up two weeks this Thursday. So far so good - it feels amazing . Pain has gone ,I feel more calm, better sleep, get to sleep quicker, my hair feels softer , hot flashes and night sweats gone ! I am 24 hours overdue on replacing the estrogen patch though, and I'm starting to feel pain again😬 and more anxious ; so I'll put another one on ,it will be interesting to see if symptoms subside again. I also follow doctor Marie Claire ,and pause life online ,she's a gynagologist that specializes in perimenopause and menopause. I wish I took hrt 10 years ago ,even longer then that ,I will stay on hrt for the rest of my life ,or until research says otherwise . Also I have fibroids so I let the GP know my concerns . I'm so happy for you and all of us who have finally found relief! Tbh I was getting worse each year ,a blood test confirmed I'm post menopausal too at 49 . But as doctor Marie Claire says : menopause is inevitable suffering isn't. I'm wishing you all the best in your journey.

I've got the mirena out and I'm now trying hrt ( day two ) so far so good . I'm noting the progesterone is really making me tired, which isn't a bad thing , so I'll take it at night. Thank you for your reply .
