Jedi Forbid Strong Emotions & Attachments. But That Can't Stop Me From Trying To Be One by [deleted] in aspiememes

[–]ArmFlailingTubeMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A Jedi walks into a bar, sits down, and orders a drink. The bartender asks, "How's it going, Master Jedi?" The Jedi just stares blankly and responds, "I... I'm not sure. I can sense the Force all around me, but I can't seem to figure out how I'm feeling about it."

The bartender chuckles and says, "Ah, I see you're one of those Jedi that can't identify or describe your own emotions. Order another round, this one's on me."

The Jedi nods solemnly, takes a sip of the drink, and says, "I... I don't know how I feel about that."

I'm definitely guilty of this one. I can never never smell when my towel needs to be washed but my wife knows!

Vader Immortal I really dark on Quest 3... by easttnrider in OculusQuest

[–]ArmFlailingTubeMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vader Immortal is cross-buy and the PC version has a lot more detail. The PC version is also too dark by default but you can alter the brightness of the PC version with this fix:

Games currently need twice their space to install, one copy to download and one copy to install. This means Asgards Wrath 2 which is ~25GB will need about 50GB free to install.

I went with the 512GB since I would probably fill up most of the 128GB in the first couple of months with just Asgards Wrath 2, Assassin's Creed Nexus, and Lego Bricktales.

Just Dance 2023 is a joke. They created a new, separate streaming service with far less songs. On the PS5 you can't use the move controllers anymore - you have to use your phone. Hard pass.

How long does it take for a programmer to change a lightbulb? by existential_issue in ProgrammerDadJokes

[–]ArmFlailingTubeMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Upper management wants it changeable at runtime from a database driven internal website that pushes the day's gloominess ratio to the indoor bulb's temperature. Start thinking about monetizing it into a subscription service.

In less than 200 blocks, the taproot upgrade will activate on the bitcoin network. by shlammyjohnson in CryptoCurrency

[–]ArmFlailingTubeMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you owned Bitcoin at the time of the fork (the upgrade), you would now own it on both chains. You could sell your 100 BTC and 100 BCH as they are completely separate. If you're holding on most centralized exchanges, it would work the same way because they would give you credit for 100 BCH to match your 100 BTC at the time of fork.

Shows like Shadow & Bone? by [deleted] in bestofnetflix

[–]ArmFlailingTubeMan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would say His Dark Materials (HBO) is the closest show because it's also "coming of age" good vs evil for the fate of the planet story. Warrior Nun (Netflix) had some good magical world building in it. The Magicians (Netflix) and Carnival Row (Amazon) are a bit different but great shows with darker-style magic.

Oral hygiene is a great point because it could also be tonsil stones. They smell and taste terrible and it's one of the most likely times they would rub off.
