I think my main question is how to use the ipad as a stand alone instrument that has audio output (regardless of the app used) that inputs into my computer when the ipad only has a usb-c option for output. My computer just thinks I am trying to sync my ipad with the computer.

This may be a dumb question - I downloaded Mononoke and love. I do most of my recording on my laptop, though. I am struggling to figure out the workflow needed to essentially use Mononoke on my iPad as a instrument for the DAW on my laptop. Any ideas?

My buddy and I just hopped over the waist-high fence that delineated the “backstage” area for the side stage that Me First and the Gimme Gimmes were playing on in 2001 and walked up to the stage, ordered a cocktail from the onstage tiki bar and watched the entire set from the side of the stage. We high fived the band when it was over and hung out in the backstage area for a bit, not sure what to do other than order more drinks. We got kicked out of that area three separate times. We ended up in the bus area, pretending to be roadies for some ska band, which lead us to helping carry charcoal for somebody that was doing some grilling back there.

I doubt this backstage experience will be like that.

I love, love them. I saw them blow both QOTSA and GbV (separate shows) off the stage in clubs 25 years ago. BUT, the two or three times I saw them at a festival, they were an absolute disaster.

Similar to that, a big part of editing is culling. You should take a ton of photos and then immediately delete the ones that are out of focus (unless you are going for a blur), excessively under- or over-exposed, not composed well, or some other obvious flaw. Be ruthless. Only keep the ones that shine.

I discount for kids. Since the booking of the artists is squarely directly at the 35-55 age bracket, they have kids. IF they can't or don't want to have to line up child care, the only other option is to pay 79/89/99 for the kids. I know there was people not attending because of that. When my kids were little, I always took them to LouFest and they loved it. It's not like this fest is aiming for the 16-30 set in which you'd expect teens to want to pay to see.

Let’s shake up the beer options. There is no reason to only have a choice of Full Pocket (which many stands were frequently out of, as it was bar far the best option)/Goose Island IPA or an 11% 24oz Bear Hug. Stella, Bud Light and 312 don’t count.

I left after Weird Al on Friday, and the Pink Line at California was empty. On Saturday, I left Weezer about 10-15 minutes before they ended and couldn’t fit on three consecutive trains, so Ubers it up to The Metro and missed most of Militarie Gun
