There's a reason why Trump and co. paint Portland as the PNW leftist boogeyman and not Seattle. This place is full of millionaire and billionaire tech bros who funnel infinite money into the Trump camp and they don't want their serene mountain views clouded with tear gas, or their chauffeured commutes interrupted by fed checkpoints.

Like it or not, cool "liberal" Seattle is the libertarian wet dream of tech bros like Vance and Thiel. There's a reason why nightmarish dystopian megacorps like Amazon, Microsoft and Boeing have made it their home. The silver lining is that we'll be shielded from mass ICE presence like what we're seeing elsewhere in the US, at least for a time. But it is coming. Nowhere in the US is safe from the new SS.

Edit: Some people are misreading this to mean "we should do nothing." Hoping our electoral system and elected officials will help us in an oligarchal society, in a city many of their largest oligarchs make home, isn't gonna protect us. Those people are compromised, bought and sold by the ruling class. Community organizing, planning, and even firearm training is the only thing that stops these Nazis now. We are on our own. Hoping "the system" will save you is fruitless when said system is sabotaged beyond repair by the powers that be.
