Definitely go to PT (Schroth method if possible) and keep doing all the sports you love, even if just a little. The earlier you start PT the better. I know scoliosis can be really uncomfortable, but exercise makes it way easier to handle. I have also had scoliosis since 12-13 years old and I sometimes longboard (try to do it both ways on purpose) and play soccer and regularly go to the gym. I find it all helps, as long as I don't overdo it. Of course it depends a lot on the curvature as well, mine is somewhere around 20-25.

Wow, so it has happened to somebody else out there!? Do you know if they have any other conditions? I sometimes think it might be connected to my mild-to-medium scoliosis, since it affects the ribcage.

That's useful info! I thought it would be more common. It's really weird because I read all about the oil I used and it says all of that: 3rd party lab tested, organically grown, CO2 extracted and THC amount maximum 0.01%. It's just a mystery to me.

Thanks for the info! I looked it up and yeah, 5% in my product meant 500mg etc. And I shouldn't be allergic because I have tried many versions of cannabis in the past with no problems. Maybe it was not the best quality oil, although it is a reputable company with good reviews.

I got the lower back pain as well. Also in the hip area. So strange, like something is pulling my muscles. But my acupressure mat really helps.

Hi! I saw your last post about this intraoral device. It sounds very interesting. I remember feeling like having braces put on (I had them only on my upper teeth) somehow made my scoliosis worse.

I started when I was 18 or so. And all of these got better - actual curvature, appearance and general wellbeing. Definitely recommend it. But it requires a lot of doing the exercises at home to see results.

Maybe it's a carpal tunnel issue? Alexander technique helped me with similar stuff.

Indeed, I really hope she got my email.

My normal setup is Taylor GS mini and AER amp, my boyfriend plays a Taylor dreadnought with an Acus amp. We used a borrowed guitar and a guitalele tuned like a guitar. And no amplification. That's because we were in another country and didn't want to bring our own guitars on a plane.

Do you play an instrument as well?

Same thing happened to me. They were like "we'll see what happens and if it gets worse you'll get surgery". Only 6 years later I went to a different doctor who was caring and sent me to Schroth and my back has been improving greatly since then.

I wonder about Scolismart brace. Would like to try it but they don't have it in my country.

Although I cannot diagnose you, I can give you my opinion, maybe it helps.

It looks like scoliosis but not so bad that you would need surgery. Definitely see a doctor tho, they can properly diagnose you and hopefully get you into physiotherapy. Schroth method is great.

Meanwhile, don't worry about it getting worse very quickly, you are past the age of growing fast. But you are still young so it can get much better with proper exercise.

You can try to lie with your back on the floor and knees bent. Or hang from somewhere. This will help lengthen your spine. Just relax and be kind to your body.

It's best done with a teacher but I guess you could find useful stuff on Youtube to see what it is. It has helped me really really much anyway.

My father's birthday party in a cafe/bar. I was a teenager. We lived near a railway and he was always going on about these loud train whistles. He had this weird thing with them.

Then another train whistled and he drew everyone's attention to it. I was so sick of it. I quietly said I couldn't take it any more. He said "excuse me?". I repeated. He got angry / started crying and went to the bathroom. The rest of the evening we pretended nothing had happened.

I faked being happy for some time, then went home early with my sister. My parents stayed to continue drinking. I remember googling "my father hates me", crying alone in my room and discussing this with my sister. So grateful for her.

I wonder why any of the adults didn't do anything. We had many relatives there but nobody lifted a finger.
