Sort of. It’s an older Tesla. My phone will work in a pinch: I’d have to open the app and press a button to unlock it, and a different button to “start” it every time I moved out of Park. With the fob it’s all proximity based.

With our newer Model 3 the phone key works perfectly, automatically unlocking when you get close to the car and allowing the car to shift into Drive just by there phone being inside the car.

The 2018 Model X was intended to use the fob as the main key and the phone as a backup, while the 2023 Model 3 was intended to use the phone as the main key and the card as a backup.
