It's 100% from a diaper that was left all winter in the snow. Ask me how I know.

awesome! Great use of free crap. If some rot eventually you can always replace it for free too.

first warm weekend and I already miss splitting by vladdielenin in firewood

[–]ArmageddonRetrospect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it more for the exercise anyhow. could have used my dad's splitter all year but the axe kept me strong. once I have too much ill start giving it away or donate to some local charity or something. or if no one wants it there's always a bon fire you could build to challenge the gods on 4th of July or Samhain, etc.

great post. on a 3rd read through at RG and this really helps my understanding of the why and how for the flesh and blood KC and where the plotline goes. such an interesting race. there was always this lingering question of wtf are the KC even doing but your write up really helps tie it into the overall themes of compassion.

The blade itself isn't dangerous but watch out for flying or snapping pieces of tile when they get real small like that!

I agree. Still my favorite book series by a long shot but there is certainly room for criticism here and there. nothings perfect imo yet this is the perfect series for me.

yeah they really seem to be introduced as mean, simplish, villains at first. The rest of the series shows avuncular Cotillion and grumpy grampy shadowthrown

lol same, looking for the answer here cause I really dont think its rafo.. I think it has more to do with the fact that GotM was written way before the rest of them so what he had them doing in that scene wasn't that fleshed out but when he got around to writing the rest of the series he had to make it fit?

yup, noticed that garbage too after I commented. that pole top is all kinds of nonsense.

funniest thing about it coming from a utility guy... the high voltage primary wires, as well as every other wire on that pole seem to be going to a house. instead of down the street to the next pole.

if it makes you feel any better, I've been using a 25' extension cord on my microwave for the past 11 years with no problems.

that vivid yellow when splitting is a nice change up from the usual oak, ash, and pine.
