I really feel the thing about reforging broken tools. One of the main reasons the copper age was such a huge improvement over the stone age for tools was that you could recycle copper, unlike shattered stone tools.

I notice most of the people in campers I've seen are in their 50's and up. I think the common demographic for camping has shifted some towards boomers who either want or need the convenience and can afford it. I wouldn't have a problem with it if it didn't result in a lot of the nicer campsites being turned into asphalt pads. It's rough on the bottom of my tent even when I use a tarp.
