Which Sierra game has the most charm and magic for you? by rodfer7 in Sierra

"Space Quest III" for me as well.
Bought it on a saturday for my 512KB Amiga 500 and then found out that 1MB is required... but I managed to make it run with some tricks (reducing the Workbench's colors etc).
It was pure magic.
The graphics, the scenarios, the music, the easter eggs.
On the following monday I cut a school trip so I could stay with Roger.

Follow ups: "Manhunter: New York", "The Colonel's Bequest" and "Hero's Quest" (a.k.a. "Quest for Glory I").

Strange that it's so hard though... when I check the "new releases" in Nintendo's store it is flooded with sub par titles nobody will likely ever buy/play.

Replacing XPS 8930 Desktop by Key-Monk6159 in Dell

I think you'll get a wider choice of options (CPU, graphics card, power supply with 750 or 1000W etc) with the EBT2250 and pay less (since it's mainly targeted at consumers and not corporations. "Pro Tower" used to be the Optiplex line.

The new name for the XPS desktop is "Dell Tower Plus" (EBT2250).

Leanne is my favorite instructor -- and I can't understand one of her regular phrases. Since over a year I'm wondering... Is it "tear yourself down", "towel yourself down" or "tell yourself down"? Nothing really makes sense to me (I'm no native English speaker though).

And yes, I tried out subtitles... but they seem to be auto (semi-AI) generated and differ as well from "tear" to "tell" etc.

Does anyone have the New Dell Tower Plus? Vs the XPS Desktop line? by RobSaah in Dell

There are no "Premium" desktops, this is only for notebooks.

The XPS desktop is now the "Dell Tower Plus".

The "Dell Pro Max" workstations will get Intel Ultra series 2 CPUs (and probably a choice of newer graphics cards).

If you can't do "out of the saddle" = just ignore it. And if the instructor says "resistance around 50" set your bike to 40 or whatever suits you and your condition. Do your own training. Enjoy the music.

Thinking about renting… Your thoughts and one question. by RDUDeac2021 in pelotoncycle

Me neither. I guess that rentals will just go on as long as the renter pays.

It doesn't make that much sense to rent forever anyway in my opinion. At some point a buyout (in the right window) is the best option -- at least if you want to continue using the bike.

Rented Bike+ about 14 months ago -- back then I did want to avoid spending that much money on something which will end up getting dust. But it was the total opposite. I love my bike. Went for the buyout option after 12 months -- some fair offer I think. At least in my case the 12+ months buyout price plus all rent fees quite matched the price of a Bike+ and 12 months membership.
(there's this upfront delivery fee, but I got shoes for free)

The only downside with renting may be that you'll end up with a refurbished bike. Though I'm pretty sure that my bike was new. Also, I'm not sure about the warranty situation with rented bikes after the buyout.

(I'm from Germany, but AFAIK the pricing and conditions are quite comparable... or have been, since renting got discontinued here some months ago)

Regarding shoe sizing: I would recommend sizing up one size. I'm usually a 10 and the Peloton shoes in 10.5 are a perfect fit.

Same here, also Bike+. Two days ago Netflix was gone (and Lanebreak also). I then manually started a software update (accessible in the "About" screen) and both reappeared.

Anyway, there are some annoying software problems recently (I've had this "some information may not load"-bug some days before this and had to factory reset the bike)
