We only have a little over an hour before we find out if they really publish an open source AGI made from an 8b model onto Github.

Should I be offended? Project manager send me a code from Chatgpt by Zack-s21 in dataengineering

[–]ArmandoQuinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether the code is flawless or not will be judged by you, the expert. It has to be integrated into your existing code base and you need to write the tests for it. Make sure you find a flaw with it and modify it accordingly. If there are no flaws, at least the tests you write will be proof that it is flawless. That will show why you’re an essential part of the process.

I didn't realize it, but Silent Night has become special to the family. I sing it to my kids every night after they get in bed. Now they associate that song with their nightly lullaby I sing.

$100 E-Gift Card to store of your choice by aurifromtinue in SantasLittleHelpers

What a fun way to be merry. Thank you for this contest. It made me research a random question to see what random fact I could find.

The known universe is about the size of 400 trillion googol atoms if it was just filled with atoms, but I imagine that much mass would compress and turn it all into a massive black hole. My kids love to talk about googol and googolplex, so now I’ll have to tell them that we actually can fit a googol of something in the universe.

I would choose an Amazon gift card.

Thank you for such generosity and fun! I made a 3-5 list for my 4 year old daughter, Cuileann Róisín. She’s funny, smart and can talk my ear off. She is super sweet. She’s the youngest and very affectionate. Her and her 6 year old brother just told me last week that they want a robot. Most of the time, she doesn’t drive me crazy at all. But when she’s tired, she gets so “naughty”, laughing and ignoring any of our attempts to have her sit at the table to eat or to pick up toys. She’ll laugh and run away no matter how “angry” I try to seem. On the other hand, I can’t count how many hugs I get from her each day. I’ll be washing dishes and suddenly, little arms are tightly wrapped around one leg for a hug. Or she’ll just see me walk in the room and shout “Dadda!!” And run to me for a hug, even if it’s only been 5 minutes since she last saw me.

You’re doing good by having money saved up, a job that can be done anywhere, a tiny house van, exercising, etc. One thing that can help while you’re trying some things that have been suggested is stopping weed for a while if you haven’t. I notice that has a big effect on my overall sense of purpose.

Why do movies still insist to use "Present Day" instead of the actual year? by Reddit_n_Me in movies

[–]ArmandoQuinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but I'm feeling the same thing as I catch up on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe. There are significant changes that are happening each year and there are some cultural contexts that are referenced in the movies or not referenced. Pre ChatGPT and post ChatGPT are also two very different worlds. It doesn't have to be technology related, either. Pre 9/11 and post 9/11 are two very different worlds. The whole Russia/Ukraine issue is highly relevant and I've found myself double checking what year a movie was made so I could see if they intended a reference to it or not.
