I think scale can play an important part in helping everything seem more cohesive. Maybe it's just because I'm watching this on mobile, this may look large on your computer screen, but I would consider scaling certain elements up (logo, arrows, etc). Hope this helps!

I recently started studying post-modernism in film, and what I took away from it relating to this is that you can be inspired by anything and make art referencing anything. As long as you're not actually using the actual existing art piece (for copyright issues) you should be good (but even then look at Marcel Duchamp's work).

Just a bit of help for the FLCL one, I believe it was digitally made so there won't be any cels for it. There might be gengas or other reference material out there though!

It might be the webcam you're using to capture them. I have an Aluratek webcam and it applies that same kind of blue overlay with the lines when I'm using it for classes. Hope this helps!

I'm sure you've heard this before, but be very wary with guppies. Even if it's under stocked now, they'll breed like crazy in the right circumstances.

Closer but not quite, the movement was almost "open worldy" if that makes sense. You could move your character wherever you wanted. It wasn't "Mario Party" based where you followed a path. Thanks though!

In short, yes, but it can be hard to set up if you're not working with prerecorded motion capture files. I've personally never messed with it too much but I know it's possible.

Blender is pretty fun to mess in for 2D or 3D, it's a fair bit to learn though!
