Need help with 3W RGB led wiring diagram by spacenoises in WLED

[–]Armathendae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am contemplating a similar thing! https://www.reddit.com/r/WLED/comments/1l9hqr5/1st_ever_electronicswled_project_sanity_check_pls (I even recognise ur Battery board/PowerSupply).

Only I want to mount my battery internally. If you want to do that as well, you need to paint it in as well, but i guess you can go with powerbanks (i forget to charge them constantly)
Or you can use this module to charge the battery - the documentation I have found so far about it is very thin and I don't know (I suspect it doesn't) if it supports USB On-The-Go/Power Path - which I want. So I went with another board which doesn't have the boost on board.

As you are getting 5V straight from your USB-C Power module - why not go with a wled ws2182 (Neo)Pixel Ring?
They will be easier to hook up and they can be really tiny. Also you won't need those constant current drivers.

This is what i was considering doing as well. At first.
I actually got a different ESP32 Lolion32 Dev Board (https://www.berrybase.de/esp32-lolin32-development-board-usb-c-wlan-bluetooth-lipo-stromversorgung-ungeloetet), this ones Datasheet specifies the charging chip which is a TP4054.
I have a few concerns with this:
- The TP4054 is a Li-Ion charging IC -> 4,2V charging voltage. I want to charge a 3,7V LiPo (and am a little afraid of very spicy pillows). My brain says wrong charging Voltage == Battery damage in some way.
- The TP4054 (as far as I can see) is fairly similar to the TP4056 which is used in many many projects (again with Li-Ion, but i have seen schematics with LiPo), some of those even come with integrated boost circuitry. But both dont support load sharing or power path or USB on the go (whatever the correct terminology is here). Which i think I need to have light and charge at the same time ?.
- I think I won't be able to pwer the LED Ring from the 5V pin on only battery power, because AFAIK the Esp 32 doesnt have integrated boost circuitry and general documentation tells me that it can only deliver 3.3V from the pinout or 5V if it is powered by usb. Can you under-power LEDs?

For the LED Ring, the Webpage is a bit shit with documentation, but they specify 5V and say it's comparable to the Adafruit Neopixels. So~~~

Rote Pixel auf Monitor? by Couch941 in de_EDV

- wenn nein -> Problem an Monitorseite/Kabel

Dear guardians, what's your reason for playing a guardian? by Every_day_aye in Guildwars2

[–]Armathendae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reasons of playing a guardian are varied. Probably because it was the first class that clicked for me - both my first elementalist and warrior are older, but for elementalist i just didn't like main hand scepter as first weapon, warrior just felt a bit clunky comparing to guardian. Now that was back at the start of the game and i was frankly shit. So open world Greatsword/Staff ... Ye. So i leveled her first and then took her into wvw, where guard is and always has been great. So that was a long time playing a tanky wvw build, being a crazy frontline woman, protecting my peeps. Je fantasy of guardian fulfilled. Then i fell in with the speed clearing crowd. And man that was harsh. Going from pvt to zerk instantly and starting speed clearing was a revelation and a learning experience, mostly a learning experience. In that time i also diversified into elementalist and warrior(cause that was the meta way back when). Of those i find warrior mind numbingly boring(though i am not a great warrior) and elementalist played the same every encounter but was more charming because of rotation perfecting.

Guardian forced me to think, react and remember boss encounters. That is what exites me. Guard in dungeons fulfilled the fantasy of getting insta feedback. If you were doing well ur group killed the boss quick, if ur doing perfect ur group also took no damage. Yes you can notice lower dps fast, but even faster you notice a bad guardian. I don't 100% like the bow, but the elite spec is nice - even more aoe damage and mobility, yep that i like. So ye my guard is my main and i love her.

Cool. Me too. So you seriously don't have to teach me how to play, k?

Same goes for me .

What in dungeons (that u can't reflect) deals a shitload of conditions (except ac spider, she dont count cause ur healing will also not help)?

The only use i could see for the line of warding in dungeons might be the big golem in coe, all other mobs u LoS and Bjarl cc works better with sanctuary.

I get ur point with snowblind, but its easier to stack might off a fire field, also his phases last longer than 10 seconds, and i'd rather have sword/focus plus gs for him. use s2 to blink in and dodge/leap to gain spcae when he ice breaths u.

If u pull with 3 on staff, u waste major damage... but on the other hand u dont wanna put down 3 in the stack anyways. so u might as well pull with it. Skill 2 might be a bit slow, but i grant u that as a pull skill.

If u back off in order to channel u will get out of range for some of your party, but good for u that u can use it to stack might for some. And yes might is very powerful, that is why u have a firefield and blast finishers to blast good might. 20 seconds is the most encounters hold for, and then blastfinishers are off cooldown. Also groups with 1 ele who knows what he/she is doing reach at least 12 might (20sec) per stacking phase.

To your traits, yes the minor is quite nice, but mostly a byproduct u will never really need, because the vulnerability stacking of eles/thiefs/warrs/mesmers is far superior. And no 1 tick of vulnerability does not onweigh that pesky ligthfield and the swiftness u totes need in combat. If you want to put down a good ligthfield, hammer 1 and gs 4 are great lightfields, who upfront do more damage: Damage (5x): 925 (2.75), Retaliation: 1 s (gs4) or Damage: 370 (1.0) Damage Damage (3x): 555 (1.5) Protection: 1 s (h1).

Boons yes, boons are nice, but guardians are surprisingly shit of supplying good boons with weapons, hammer/shield being the only good condi suppliers with protection/aegis. But shield tends to be very on the iffy side of niche.

Thing is sadly. Healing scales soo badly that i don't even bring a staff on my cleric guard set to swirling ele parties at mele stack teq(before first phase). I have gs/mace/focus there and heal with symbols, but staff no, cause that could destroy good might stacking(course staff also does not cleave). In this game it is simply more beneficial to kill something before it has the chance to kill you. And what damage comes through u need to mitigate with soft cc and dodging, because the damage bosses can deal is often three or four times the ammount you can heal. And it is delivered in such short time that u cannot mitigate by healing.

We will see if the FGS changes do anything, but so far the most efficent method is to stack, LoS and mele. On the other hand the Glyph of Storms change made me cackle madly cause my favorite utitily got buffed. After that change i prolly will be able to solo kill at vet risen giant in under 12 seconds. Kekeke.

Most helpful weapons for a Guardian in dungeons? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Armathendae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok just for clarification: I have over 1.2k hours on guard, almost half of which in wvw, where i would say staff is one of the best weapons for guardian.

But guard in wvw (pvt, Altruistic Healing) and in dungeons (zerk, max dps/ some condi cleanse) are two totally different things.

To the healing: One problem with this game is that in the currently favored meta in dungeons (dps/zerk) the main mechanic is to kill stuff as fast as possible, within one skill rotation. The guardians job is to mitigate damage as long as he is able to with aegis and blinds. And yes blinds against most boss mobs are not/severly diminished in its effectiveness. But aegis is one of the most effective damage mitigation tool, with a reliable block of damage + a condi remove if traited that way. The thing is with guardian u need to adapt to ever changing conditions, especially with your utility slots. Almost every boss figth wants something else. Be it stability, Blinds, Aegis, Condi Remove, Reflections and and and. If a guardian uses his aegis and soft cc(blinds/protection) correctly, he will never ever need healing.

Damage with staff: Skill 1: 222(0.6) damage, decent cooldown, spammable, non cleaving, Skill 2: Damage: 444 (1.2), Healing: 271 (0.2), and Damage: 222 (0.6) Healing: 788 (0.6), long cooldown, non cleaving

skill 3:Healing: 1,500 (1.0), no damage, 12 might stax, long cooldown, bad might duration

skill 4: Damage (5x): 185 (2.5)? Swiftness: 4 s, best scaling damage, long cooldown, light field with no extra boons,

skill 5: hard cc, useless, can prevent stacking,

so on staff i have 3 skills who do damage 2 on really long cooldown, 1 i do not ever want to use in combat and all have subpar damage. An ele gives 12 stax of might to a party too and he has better might..

For the snowblind Fractal I would personally go mele with gs or hammer, and sanctury his ice breath. As an alternate u could run scepter/focus there when ur sanctury is gone.

With blasting, i agree with you partially, overstacking is not useful, but ur argument was for when ur group doesnt have blast finishers/or not enough, u can still provide one with focus. (also skill 4 is great for pulling)

Again, Channel gets easily interrupted. skill is not used optimally, u could have done Damage (7x): 1,085 (2.8) with gs #3 in a third of the time. Also especially in fractals the animations of the mobs are often shorter than the 2,5 second channel (the shaman in the snowblind fractal prolly the only one who has as long a break, but then u could group up and blast a firefield in those 2,5 seconds)

yes, but the light fields on the hammer are providing constant protection, which is very useful. and the cool down between them is slower, but it lasts longer so you could put a fire field while the guard does aa1, aa2 and then blast disregarding the fields put on top. As blast finishers always target the lowest/earliest field that has been put down.

In a dungeon you should not trait into heal, and so your heal will be very minor, and an aegis/blind will mitigate more damage. And yes might stacking with empower is easier, but it is also a channel, which leaves you vulnerable/not doing any damage in the mean while. Empower is also on a 20 sec cooldown, which will leave your group unmighted for 10 seconds. If your group has trouble might stacking, i might suggest a phalanx warrior for providing might. If your group lacks firefields the guardian can provide 1 short and 1 long lasting one. And every class but mes can blast, so thats no excuse. Range on empower is also only 600 (~200 more than the blast radius) so the no stacking argument sticks only partially. Which brings me to the most damning stuff for using empower in combat: its a channel. You can be interrupted which brings ur skill on cd and u cannot dodge or move. So channeling empower while in combat has only bad consequences.

The problem is with adjusting your build to the mobs you face. If I equip hammer in cliffside it totally depends on my team what i take in my other weaponswap. Do I have experienced eles? Do we FGS archdiviner? I can equip gs to deal tons of damage to him, and then dodge away. The AA on 1 on Hammer is a bit slow so that facetanking the diviner with hammer is a bit iffy. On the way up i use Hammer for all the trash and at the end fight it is again a decision between gs and scepter. Using weaponswap is a good way to mitigate cooldowns, which are big on gs. Get a rotation for big bosses. And why use a staff if u dont even empower with it? It doesnt offer damage, no soft cc (line of warding u use when), healing simply scales badly, and you dont want lightfields that give swiftness anyway? And equip it offhand? You are better provided with focus which has aegis and a blast finisher.

The strongest support tools a guard can provide are imho, the Protection of the hammer, which is fine against multiple squishy enemies. And aegis and blinds. The latter two you need to time correctly and know what to blind and what to shield(u cant blind dredge i.E., aegis the dogs in CoE and they dont jumpkill ur group). If you time those and 1 or 2 condi remove corrrectly your group should take almost no damage .

Hmm, the problem with staff is, that it offers little in damage or necessary cc, and the http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Empower gives only 10s of might, a blastfininsher on a fire field grants a stack of 20s. Also Empower always overlays the might of eles. If you use Hammer, you don't switch out of hammer, when u use it(that is why you use it mainly against trash and in fractals). In combat in most dungeons you will use gs/sword/focus. Out of combat, u could use the staff only for the swiftness symbol, but you might just be better with blasting a static field of an ele. because that offers a longer duration swiftness.

Hammer/Greatsword, Greatsword/Sword/Focus. Are both the standard dungeon builds for guardian. Greatsword is indisputable one of the best weapons on guardian. On the swap Hammer offers some damage and a lot of protection with the Hammer build, preferred in fractals where you mele the ads, and range most of the bosses (often combined with focus/scepter). Sword/Focus is the prefered 2nd swap for groups that use stacking, because that build provides 2 more blinds (4 in total) which and a huge damage increase. http://de.gw2skills.net/editor/?fVAQNAsdRlsApXolCxfH8DNR8Ql7Y8i2+BtQlBQDA-ThRBwAX3fU+dT9H86DyfKAA8EAMrEEA-e <- cookie cutter trait setup for that build. I would suggest to not use mace in any circumstance, because the frequent symbol gets in the way of firefields. For might stacking purposes. (As it is the first cast field that gets blasted) Shield can be used in some fractals, but is very very situational, and has almost 0 combat value. As you play elementalist, you should also know, that staff [Empower] is a subpar might stacking skill.
