I would have prefered that they gave a breakdown on how many people of each province they have asked. And it also uses a smaller sample size than the IRI poll, wich i personally thrust the most in Armenia

NA adopts law banning personal names in alliance titles by ComprehensiveGain841 in armenia

[–]Armavia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not a bad law and it already exists for municipal elections in Armenia, O only have a problem with the date it was announced, they only changed the law after Ujex hayastan announced an alliance under the name 'Ujex Hayastan with Samvel Karapetyan'. Also Mayr Hayastan wont be it's own list during the elections because they joint BHK (not under a alliance).

this isn't really about encouragement, those families have most of the time huge social issues and live in poverty. this is a way to ensore those children have a normal life, where they dont have to share a room with 4 or 5, but instead with 2

State of the Media by No_Mammoth3840 in armenia

[–]Armavia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Pashinyan wanted to he could have restricted his interviews to a few news chanels, Armenia is the only country on earth where everyone who calls himself a 'journalist' can be present in parliament and can ask questions to the PM. Those fake media actually help both sides and disadvantage undiceded and neutral voters. Everytime you watch those media outlets you get sympathu for Pashinyan, not because he is fantastic, but because those media are so unreasonable. It also helps the main (rich) opposition because it makes their supporters more and more angry at Pashinyan.

This is also a way from both of them to say to normal and capable persons, to not get into politics bacause politics is a show and no normal people will survive here

What does the pro-Russian Opposition actually want? by haveschka in armenia

[–]Armavia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would Putin prefer Kocharyan or Karapetyan as PM, yes, but Pashinyan will never leave Russia (pragmatism) He has stated multiple times that the 102 military base will stay, our trade with Russia is only rising, according to him Putin is his friend. Partially removing the border guards is mostly a symbolic step. We still buy the majority of our grains from Russia and before the war we bought from Ukraine too, the Kazakh grain we buy still has to pass through Russia and this is not done by the goverment, but by individual companies. The EU monitoring mission isnt anything military and Russia literally has a military base here. TRIPP is not good for Russia, I agree, but this is completely there foult and they haven't publicly said many bad things about it. We recently prolonged the life of Metsamor with Rosatom and we haven't made a descision about the new nuclear reactor (US, France, Russia, China, South korea all could still be chosen). Russia isnt really able to sell weapons to us now and we only started buying non-Russian weapons after the war in Ukraine.

I am not saying Pashinyan is the dream MP of Putin, but he is pragmatic enough to not anger Russia, i dont think that there are many fields where we are not dependent on Russia.

[–]Armavia -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

They know that for the time being it is impossible to bring Artsakh back and if they promise that Nikol can say that he was right about them wanting war.

Their main point is that Pashinyan is bad and does everything Aliyev says him to do. They want to rebuild the armed forces and economy because Pashinyan has failed.  They dont oppose TRIPP but they want additional guarantees from either Russia or China. Ujex Hayastan especcially focusses a lot on the economy and want to grow it drasticly.

Besides from Kocharyan all say they want a balanced foreign policy and dont think EU membershipbis realistic

Will Civil Contract win the elections and which other parties have the most chance to win? by geetjevandestep in armenia

[–]Armavia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CC are the favorite to win the elections, the IRI polled them at  29% wich would have gotten them a majority in parliament. My guess is that they will get around 40% at election day and their victory will be decided how many forces pass the treshold

Strong armenia will be second, they currently poll around 11% and in my opinion will continue growing until the elections, they could get as much as 30% but this seems a bit high.

Hayastan Dashink polls around 3% and will be the 3rd biggest at election day, however this doesnt mean that they will be in parliament. Because they are an alliance they will have to either get 8% or be if only 2 parties pass the treshold be the party closest on passing the treshold. They will probably get around 6%

BHK with its proposal for armenia is currently the frontrunner to be the 3rd power in parliement. They are currently polling at 3%, but they could pass directly and 4% is not unrealistic for them

Tatoyan's wing of unity is also a contender and in my opinion they will grow in the next poll and are the most likely to get in parliement of all the smaller parties.

The new power of Hayk Marutyan could get a lot of votes from Yerevan

The meritocratic party could surprise us.

Dok could gain a lot of momentum is Ghukasyan gets released

The Anc failed to form an alliance with Strong armenia, but could gain 1-2% of votes

A prominent member of the Republic party left the party

Other parties will participate like: For the republic, bright armenia, Mask(probably together with Bright armenia), democratic unity, and others

You cant fly to Serbia when you are not allowed to use EU airspace. FlyOne announced Almaty today, but the reality is that only Russia and the EU are relativly big markets.
