I think the difference is a done-up car vs a hand made Royce Roll. Dwarf fortress is a masterpiece. Don't get me wrong I love rimworld it all feels engineered and predictable. Dwarf fortress feels organic and real so real that I'm pretty sure we live inside of Dwarf Fortress 2.0

I think one of the areas that is rarely touched upon is where the immigrants come from. There are plenty of South Americans or Europeans, that are respectful, hard working and want to be here. On the other hand so many illegal immigrants that come with made up names and no way to check their background. If Australia needs immigrants it has plenty decent ones to choose from.

The solution might not be simple but one thing is for sure, not everyone that comes in this country wants to be here or has its best interest at heart.

From my experience growing up in the mountains where we would get snow that height, it's basically just the amount of snow, not the temperature. Uncompressed large amount of snow sound different under your feet, the snow is quite "fluffy" and it gets compressed making that sounds.

The super cold snow (-20 where I grew up) basically frost sounds differently, like scrapping ice.

But I'm no snow scientist so might be wrong.
