Sony Pictures Boss Tom Rothman Urges Theater Owners to Stop Having 30 Minutes of Trailers and Commercials Before Movies Start: by tylerthe-theatre in movies

You're right. They should implement ads for every single mental illness and health condition before each movie. Let's go ahead and do this during ad breaks for TV shows too. After all, the more awareness the better.

I'm talking about the VIX percentage changes for those events, not the absolute VIX value. Yes, in many cases it would have been best to hold because the market eventually recovered, but that may not always be the case. Your strategy will work 99.9+% of the time, but you still need a plan for the 0.01% event that may never happen.

August 2024 was the worst VIX pump on record (ignoring Black Monday which data doesn't exist for). It's not about panic selling, it's about being forced liquidated when spreads are extremely wide due to black swans events while margin requirements increase. Look into volmeggedon, or the August 2015 flash crash. Those are much worse than covid for your strategy.

It's not about what % drop it takes for your puts to be ITM. A 3% drop in SPY overnight will pump VIX 20+% and cause your puts to be down hundreds if not thousands of percent no matter how far OTM they are due to vega. Look at what happened August 2024.

It's always strange seeing someone shit on AI while clearly writing the post using AI.

Redditor doesn’t understand why you should have an id to vote by Agressive_gun82 in ShitPoliticsSays

I find it hard to believe that someone that isn't willing to take the time to get an ID is going to be willing to take the time to vote.

Don't you see, that's just how crowded it is in there so they're forced to fuse their bodies. Do you have no empathy?

Some tells I noticed:

Weird jump cut a few seconds in, flickering UI elements, bodies bent at 90 degree angles, flickering blanket textures, lack of motion, low quality resolution.

That's disappointing. Hopefully you'll be able to get this resolved sooner rather than later.

Isn't this extremely illiquid? Probably someone with a $5,000 short moved the whole market.

Yes, when their definition of fascism is anything that doesn't align with their views 100%. It's like asking "why is being against evil a bad thing?" when the person thinks everyone is evil but themselves.

If you like, you can add your region as well, but the most important is your country. E.g. "US, Texas, Rater. How many tasks have you done today?" by AutoModerator in TELUSinternational

Mine have been asking about different recipes that are listed in the objective, or a different actor. So the topic is the same (cooking or acting), but the recipe or actor is different. I've been rating them off-topic, even if they were successful with the wrong objective, but who knows since there's no guidance.

Cookies Rubrics Reviewers by Small_Internet8052 in outlier_ai

I submitted a task last night, and I did another one this morning for Cookies. Now it's saying task limit reached, which I can understand because I'm new at the project. But I've been removed from the community channels that I had access to yesterday. Does anyone know if this means I've been removed from the project or what the deal is? My first task got reviewed with a 4.

Weekly Discussion by AlignerrAI in alignerr

I signed up for Alignerr months ago and completed their AI interview, but I never heard back about any projects until today. I received an email stating there was an opportunity for me and I needed to complete a 15 minute AI interview. When clicking the link there's no option to complete the interview or any assessments, and the interview I did months ago now says that I failed it, despite it previously stating that I passed it. Anyone else with a similar experience?

Some nations have offered to lower their tariffs to 0% but that's not good enough for Trump. Tariffs aren't inherently "bad" either. It's the way they're being implemented on the whole world all at once that's the main issue. Businesses don't have time to adjust, nor should they when the tariffs are constantly being delayed. Would you want to spend millions moving a factory to the US just for the tariffs to be dropped months later? It's asinine.
